a relief
Ground Control was great last night! I was so happy to serenade Andrew for his birthday. I'm also glad I got to introduce Dani to so many of my friends. I briefly saw my ex and we both waved and smiled, which was nice. Dani had to work early this morning, so we stuck to our plan of leaving around 11:30 so she could get some sleep.
Today, my ex txted me to see if I was going to Club Hell on Wed and I said I wasn't sure. We started txting back and forth a bit and I asked if I could come by to pick up a few things of sentimental value which I'd left at her place. She said sure, so I made the last 80-mile round trip to her place. Her dad answered the door and we chatted a bit. He said we should get a beer some time, which I agreed would be great. Things were very pleasant and nice. She even made me a CD.
It feels really good to know that we can be reasonable and civil with each other; it makes things so much easier. :)
