Optics, Boob Jobs, & 2012
1. the Physics of Optics
I've got to admit that the physics of optics is pretty important...especially if you're blind as a bat like me. but its not important if finding the magnification of an image is not in your future job description!
I have physics. Mastering Physics is the worst homework site ever, and Essential University Physics by Wolfson isnt very good at explaining physics concepts. The book sucks. And the reason as to why professors continue to use it as a study aid is beyond me.
2. Boob Jobs
Yes, that's right BOOB JOBS!!!!! Not for me. But for someone i know, who's name i will not say, but its my sister. It's my job/duty/obligation etc. as a sister to support my sister with whatever she wants to do in life. but NOT boob jobs. This may be because i don't want her to have better boobs than me...but that's most likely not it. Her sheer reasoning behind breast implants is absolutely ludicrous!
"The boob job isn't for cosmetic purposes," she says to me.
Well, a boob job is ALWAYS for cosmetic purposes. I'm pretty sure there is no medical reason to get a boob job unless it's to cut them off in order to remove cancerous cells. And when a patient undergoes that type of procedure, they may want to get breast implants, but its not because the doctor told them it would be better for their health, its because they want to look/feel like a woman..again.
My very naive sister thinks that the breast implant will help cover up the large scar across her chest (which happens to be unfortunate, but it's a good conversation starter!). I'm pretty damn sure that not only will the extra cleavage excentuate the appearance of the scar, but it will also wreak havoc on her very small frame (and she's fragile enough).
Now, someone please tell my sister this information because she's not very smart and wont listen to her.

3. 2012
If you believe that 2012 is going to happen, please say AYE!

Now, pick a month and date and we'll put money on it! It can be a derby of some sort! We'll have to use the winnings in 40 seconds before the world really ends though.
I think it's already happening
- influx of crashing planes
- extreme weather
- crazy animal behavior (ie. apes going nutters)
- illness
- world hunger
- failing economy
- what's next?
On that note, why do I bother going to school? Why is anybody bothering to do what is boring and unsatisfying when they've only got 3 more years to enjoy life?.....probably because we'd look like bloody fools when 2013 comes around. haha
I think, if we were absolutely positive that 2012 was going to come around...I'd be in for a career change. Forget physicians assistant and making all the money that i can. I think i'd want to go into AIDS work. I want to do something for the UN. Something amazing and socially life changing! I'd do it now if money wasnt such a big factor in this material day&age.
