Ryo Overload - Part 3

May 17, 2011 16:00

Not having a laptop or computer for the latter half of last year made me miss out on a lot. Yeah, I was able to keep up to date through my phone, but I still missed out on a lot. Like NEWS’ Live Live Live DVD. So having seen it now, I’m going to go comment-crazy on Ryo and the RyoPi rabu rabu moments now. ^^

-      I wish I knew what the messages from each member were, especially Ryo’s. And urg about the group’s opening costumes - bedazzled overcoats. And of course, Ryo’s always the least energetic with the member introductions.

-      But then he seemed to be into the performance a little bit more during “Weeeek.” RyoPi plus Shige hug!

-      I’m loving the graphics in the screens during “Sakura Girl.” Massu giving Ryo a little hug = LOVE! I also love Ryo’s vest that’s printed Catch Me! Then we get to Ryo mimicking Shige, haha. Wahhh, I want to be showered by those petals.

-      During Summer Time, I loved how the pathway lit up and how the spotlight came back on Ryo, who was so happy and excited.

-      What’s up with the weird look Ryo had during “Akaku Moyuru Taiyo?” He was waving at fans then gave this surprising/questioning look. What in the world did he see?

-      I loved Massu’s “Calm down” part during “Dancing in the Secret.” Then Ryo went off alone to do his part.

-      One little comment during the short MC when Ryo was riling up the crowd. Asking the crowd for “Chotto ecchi.” You’re not with K8, Ryo! LOL

-      Ah, all the member ai during “Endless Summer.” Massu hugging Ryo with Ryo resisting a little bit; Pi running away from Shige at first, but then joins in. Why couldn’t RyoPi hug?

-      I love RyoPi’s part during “Aki no Sora.” Their voices sound beautiful together.

-      Be Funky! Those are some big balls. Whoops, not a K8 post. ;P

-      I totally love Ryo during "Live!” Waving his hand up and down to the beat; all of a sudden he just got really into! He’s even looking down at the in-concert camera.

-      Moving onto to Disc 2, kicking off with what I call the chilled-out version of “code.” I was really loving it up to the part when Ryo comes in with the electric guitar. And the end. “Ah, tsukaretta!” Oh, Ryo.

-      Just a little bit before “Happy Birthday” began, did Ryo slap Pi’s behind??? He did something; I’m just not sure what. And we get a RyoPi hug, in which Ryo initiated. Then Ryo let the audience sing his part, which was weak! Come on, Tokyo Dome!

-      Ryo had the cutest, happiest smile during one part of “News Nippon.” And that “Yeah!” before the middle part. He was so happy.

-      He let the crowd sing his part again during “Cherish.” And even he sounded disappointed in them, lol. Then he’s pointing at us!

-      As much as I love Pi, I have to admit that I have yet to see the PV for “One in a Million.” But the performance here makes a pretty damn good PV. I love the effects! Especially that zooming-out part. These performances are getting to PV quality now, huh?

-      I love Bouncy Ryo during the whole balloon ride. Mimicking Kei, he was like a little kid on a really fun ride. Or could it be that looking down at all the fans from up above gave him somewhat of a god complex?

-      I love all the goofing around during the encores. How they crowded around Ryo; he pushed Massu off then hit him in the balls??? Again, you’re not with K8, Ryo! I like that he was actually enthusiastic when he introduced Question. During some fan  interaction, Ryo managed to get himself pulled in! Craziness! And I’m jealous of the lucky fan who lent Pi those glasses!

-      Special inclusion of “Fighting Man.” I love how much Ryo was into it in the beginning.

DOCUMENTARY PART

-      During the whole choreography lessons, why does Ryo seem happier in rehearsals than in actual performances? I noticed that RyoPi were having a little fun with one of the moves for “Wonderland.” That Egyptian move, lol. Of course, Ryo left first. Busy K8 boy that he is. When he was practicing with Kei, he was so cute and energetic even though his hand hurt. Then we get a little bit of whining from him when his necklace was entangled with his earphones. Ah, I love seeing him with the guitar, especially if he’s revealing some thigh, lol. Later when he was going over some moves with the choreographer, you can see that more and more, his bathrobe is loosening. Ryo basically revealed himself in front of the camera, except the screen goes black so we can’t see anything. Bummer, lol. During the first group hustle, whose hand was Ryo caressing? Kei, right?

-      The first question/envelope thingie! I love Ryo with that hint of a ‘stache! Looking a little scrubby, it’s hot! A little concert footage of RyoPi in a hug and Ryo pushing away Shige. Stay out, boy! Hahaha, I love that! Wow, that was a long answer, but I seriously could watch him talk all day.

-      Jan Ken time! Oh my gosh, what a silly boy he is! Playing along, fooling around, and acting like a baby when he lost. Kawaii~ This has to be my favorite part of the whole DVD.

-      The second envelope must be inquiring about Sakura and what that word means to each member, right? I love what he did the letter and envelope. At first I was like “Dude, you don’t have to rip it just because you’re done with it already.” But because it’s Ryo, it’s automatically a brilliant idea. I may not understand what he said, but he seems really honest with his answers.

-      I love the little bit with the announcement of “Fighting Man.” How Ryo was going to introduce it but kept backing out; how the group tricked him into volunteering. So adorable! BEST PART: Pi stopped Ryo to pull something (confetti, maybe?) off of Ryo’s face. It reminds me of that Music Station moment (promotion for Hoshi wo Mezashite), when Ryo pulled a feather off of Pi’s hair. Even my sister melted during that part! She may not like Ryo, but we’re both crazy for RyoPi RABU!!!

-      It’s those shrimp chips that I used to eat as a kid! I haven’t had those in ages, but damn, those were addictive.

-      During sound check, whatever Ryo said to Question, for some reason, his whole manner of speaking cracked me up.

-      Last letter, and last comment: I love that olive green shirt.
