Ryo's Current and New Drama~

I loved episode 05 of Inu wo Kau. Possibly my favorite of the series so far because it had some of the warmest family moments. From the opening bath scene to the dinner scene to the park scene to the very last scene. Especially the park scene! When Yuuji caught up with his kids, took their hands, and ran to meet up with Sachi and Sky, just that alone was so warm. Yuji's "Oh ho hooo~" when he saw his wife and pet was so cute! I'm pretty sure that was Ryo's natural reaction right there. This "family" seems so natural and genuine. And my gosh, the chemistry between Ryo and Asami is amazing. I mean, there will always be this obvious shyness from Ryo, but they really do seem comfortable with each other. And I love them together! The scene of when Yuu-chan was worrying and then Sachi sat next to him, asking him what's wrong. It's nothing ultra romantic or anything, but it was such a sweet husband-and-wife moment to me. Towards the end of the episode when Sky is back and all four are huddled around their pet, this one little thing sent my RyoxAsami heart going crazy. Aside from the fact that they were sitting so close, they were pretty much overlapping each other. But that's not it. While adoring Sky, they leaned forward AT THE SAME TIME to see what Sky was doing. Have Ryo and Asami bonded so much that they now think alike? My heart is happy for them, lol. So to finish up thoughts on this episode, my favorite scene would have to be when Mako was hitting her daddy's chest, asking him "Why?" repeatedly. He then hugs her, apologizing. To see Ryo hug this little girl, it's one of those scenes that makes you go "Awww!" It definitley tugs at the heart.

Onto episode 06, and first thing I have to ask is, was Yuji playing "My Home" on that guitar? Before he ran off to Kubota-san, it sounded like the first few chords to "My Home." Wouldn't it be awesome if we heard Yuji sing this song in the drama?! I'm going too keep my hopes up for that, lol. Alright, onto the remainder of the episode. And it's another warm one, despite the "bad things." I love the family's happy moments, though. The scene with the parents tucking the children into bed, so sweet! Papa fixing his daughter's pajamas because she buttoned them wrong, my gosh, so cute! These family scenes may be scripted to play up the warm feeling, but, again, it feels real and genuine. Then we get to the scene with the family hanging out with Kubota-san and his wife. I loved everything about that scene! Especially when she expressed her wishes to the baby in Sachi's belly. I loved how Sachi looked back at Yuu-chan, and they both gave a shy smile! Fast forward to the scene right before they enter the animal hospital, and Sachi rushes to stop Yuu-chan by holding his arm. Love that!

I don't get this about me. This is a family-oriented drama, and here I am gushing over the very unromantic married couple. And I have said that I don't like to watch overly romantic, lovey-dovey drama. I honestly get "fed up" with the romance and will no longer care for it. But if it's a drama that has little to subtle romance, that kind of drama I like because it will make me wish for more romance. Get it?

Speaking of romance, it's official that Ryo has another drama coming up for the summer season. Zenkai Girl is the title, and it falls into the romantic comedy genre. It'll be a first for Ryo to do a romance genre, though it's also a comedy. Again, he's playing a chef; again he's playing a father; it's like a combo of Chonmage Purin and Sky Tree together! After leading Chonmage Purin and Sky Tree, even now, it feels odd to see Ryo so much in a drama. But at the same time, I could so get used to this, and it made me wish for him to have a summer drama. I'm so surprised that he does! I'm so excited! It's his first in a more romantic genre, but I'm not sure how I feel about Aragaki Yui being the one he falls in love with. She's cute, and I've only ever seen her in 2 dramas. Those roles didn't make me love/like her like I do with Ueto Aya, Ueno Juri, and Asami. So *shrugs*  I had wished for his first "drama" girlfriend to be Aya; his first "drama" wife to be Aya; even now I'm wishing for his first romance drama to be with Aya instead.
