Ryo Overload - Part 2
We continue the Ryo Overload posts with Part 2 about K8's 8Uppers concert DVD. Actually, it's not just Ryo that I'm crazy about in there; I fell back in love with K8 all over again. Love these hilarious boys! I didn't get to spazz about their Countdown DVD like I had wanted, but I'm gonna do so now with their current one.
-- I love the opening scene. The suspenseful, dramatic music was kakkoi! Then came the intro movie in comic-book style. Cool. Then came K8!!! Loving the suits.
-- Ace's cig lighting up the fire as an intro to "Jackhammer" was too cool. Dude, I have never loved pyro effects more!
-- Then we get the first of their band performances with "Life..." I like that the big screen was also showing the PV to it. And Ryo was really enjoying himself here. He seems more so in band performances than in choreographed ones. He's definitely more guitarist than dancer. LOVE that~
-- We then move on to member intros. Ryo nodding his head multiple times to get a laugh from the audience was cute. Though knowing him, he probably just had no idea what to say and was just stalling, lol. Then we get to Yoko, and I'm reminded why I love him so much. He's too funny.
-- Onto "Nakanaide Boku no Music" which is one of my faves from the album and concert. I'm loving the stage and screen effects with falling rainbows and pictures of the beauty of our natural world. All that gave me such a magical feeling. And I must also say, dancing on movings stairs...woah!!! That must take some very long practice sessions. But I do love the performance though, the way they kept moving and changing. Cool!
-- One quick comment about the "Animal Magic" perf: Oh my, that is really high!
-- Onto my fave of the album, "Monogram" was still on that high-stage thingie. I wish it hadn't been, but the color effects on the floor was nice.
-- Skipping to the movie Characters Intro, I love that Arsenal was shooting at Jacky. But oh, Jacky's too fast for you and caught the bullets. Kakkoi~ And Ace's cig is now a lolipop.
-- Wink Killer Game! One of the first things I notice is that Ryo is so much more affectionate with K8 than he is with News (which will be proven when in my next post, lol). When Baru put an arm around him, Ryo responded with the same! To someone he used to be quite uncomfortable with. Oh, and Ryo took a while to finish that lolipop. I would've killed it in 5 seconds.
-- Techno Medley~ My fave of the performances because it was so cute. Again, the screen effects add so much to the performance, but we're also getting camera effects. Awesome! Whose also loving that booty move during "Kanfu Fighting?" Hehe. And Ryo was a total cutie in that outfit. Well, the rainbow hoodie was a bit vibrant, but that white T-shirt, those baggy jeans, and white sneakers...I love it. Something as simple and basic as white tee and jeans, I love that best on guys.
-- During "Wonderful World," I love that little bouncy dance Ryo was doing during Ohkura's part near the middle. So cute to see him get into it!
-- We get tons of cuteness in "Zukkoke Otokomich." Those guns were awesome and must be loads of fun!!! I would totally be like Hina, and aim at those Jrs too, lol. Omg, and Yoko being all flirtatious and ero...LMAO!
-- I was confused at first when Ohkura and Ryo sang first during "Snow White" because I can clearly remember the original order. Then I realized why in the next part. But dang it, I wanted to hear my fave part from Ryo.
-- Ryo was too adorable as the magical reindeer during the whole Christmas segment. He seriously surprised me by really getting into it with his cuteness and cheerfulness. Love him!
-- Time to rock with "Misetekure!" Baru, you're a tiny man, but damn, you are fierce! And as always, Ryo's looking cool with that "Call Me!" on the back of his shirt. And a Yankees Cap? I'm from Boston! You should be wearing Red Sox, though I honestly couldn't care less about baseball.
-- Those things that Yoko and Hina rode during "TTE!!" I would so love to ride that! Fun!!! And I'm loving this song live. That little reggae bit, loving that.
-- During "Boy," Ryo surprised me again by jumping around a bit.
The rest of the video was scratched here and there for me so watching the rest continuously was impossible. But I did catch some of the encores. Ryo doing that "move" for whatever reason was hilarious.
All those other Wink Killer games in the extras, so fun to watch. But the first one sticks out because well, Ryo won that one. His last wink and kill was so cute, sexy, and so Ryo, lol. Yasu and Baru fighting over who's the smallest thus who tops the pyramid was hilarious. Then Ryo yells at Yoko when his hand went for the mic. "Oi, Yokoyama!" "Hazukashii." "Hazukashii janai!" Oh, Ryo. And when the pyramid did their "kimochi" pose, you can clearly hear Ryo's laugh, which I absolutely love.
Highlights from other games:
-- Baru's kissing pose during Yoko's win was funny but gross. Actually, I think he did the licking for a lot of different poses.
-- Baru's "Aiya!" and going all Chinese was hilarious! A bit racist but still funny.
-- Ryo doing something to Baru's ass was... you're so pervy with K8, Ryo.
Oh man, what an amazing concert! I may not catch their shows often (or anymore, really), but I love their concerts. Those I will continue to enjoy and support. Looking forward to the next one, guys!
