So little time, so much to do! Taking advantage of the fact that I don't have work this weekend to do some translating. First up are Aiba's Q&As from the latest tour pamphlet, but hopefully all of the members' Q&As will be done by tonight.
Won't be crossposting these anywhere else until I get them all up, so enjoy the sneak peek!

Sho ARASHI LIVE TOUR 2015 Japonism - Q&As - Aiba
Q1. When would you think to yourself, "I'm glad I was born as a Japanese person"? At what times do you notice the nice things about Japan, or the fact that you're Japanese?
A. Well, I don't know enough about the rest of the world to be able to say "I'm glad I was born as a Japanese person. So I can't say that with much certainty, but... out of all the different kinds of work that I've been able to do, I was given the chance to be the navigator for "Nihon Rettou -ikimonotachi no monogatari" (2012). That was when I learned about Japan all over again. The fact that it's hard to find a country like this with four distinct seasons, and such beautiful oceans and mountains... and the numbers and variety of animals living in it are pretty incredible too. I was also able to go to Yakushima and experienced it personally in my interactions with nature. Wow, Japan's really nice, I thought; I'm really living in a wonderful place.
Q2. Which particular era are you interested in with regards to Japan's history and traditions?
A. Which would it be... I've heard about and saw footage of the period of high economic growth and how lively that that was. I guess I'm curious to know what that period of time was like. Like the Tokyo Olympics, you know? I'd like to experience that myself too. But you know, I just realized this after saying "I want to see what that era was like"... I'll get to see this in 2020, won't I? That's in 5 years, right? Isn't that amazing? How incredible is that? (laugh)
Q3. Please tell us about sceneries in Japan that you particularly like or have left an impression on you.
A. There's really a lot, but... what I like and consider to be distinct to Japan would be something like the Tokyo Tower, I guess. I've been there so many times but whenever I pass under it, I still get a little thrill even to this day. Another one would definitely be Mount Fuji, no? It's the same as the Tokyo Tower to me... it's exciting to see every time I look at it. Whenever I'm on the highway and catch a glimpse of it in the far distance, I'd go "Oooh~ it's so pretty!".
Q4. What does "Arashi-izm = Arashi-like" mean to you?
A. Hmm, I wonder? I'm not sure, but... I guess something like it becomes Arashi-like if Arashi's doing it. By which I mean like... for example, let's say we get a demo tape and we're told "This is going to be your next song". Even when it doesn't feel quite right and we're not sure if Arashi can pull it off, when we record it with our own voices, we end up going "Ahh, not bad". Something like that. So it's the other way around, where no matter what it is it can only end up sounding Arashi-like. Everything that passes through our filter turns out Arashi-like, I think.
Q5. Please express "Japonism" in the form of a type of scent.
A. Ehh... you mean like soy sauce or something? I don't know... I never felt this myself, but foreigners say that Japan smells like soy sauce, don't they? I've never ever felt this way before though (laugh). And the fact that I have no clue... maybe that's because I grew up on soy sauce myself? Maybe? (laugh)
Q6. Including the cover to "Yarisugichatta Japonism Calendar 2016", which shot was your favourite out of a total of 13 shots? And if you were to recommend one type of goods from this tour, what would it be?
A. I like the "One Love" one, for June. Everyone got into their roles completely, after all. During the location scounting for it, I had some of the staff take on our roles and did some test shots to try and picture how it would turn out, but the other members' expressiveness are just next to none (laugh). They became part of that world in an instant. I was really particular about Sho-san's curlers in it; kind of like, he already has such a ridiculous perm and he's still trying to curl it!? (laugh). And by the way... my sailor uniform (that I wore) was super tiny. I was sucking in my tummy the entire time (laugh).
As for the goods, they're all great, but... maybe the "gift envelopes". I'm sure there aren't many opportunities to give people money, but there's bound to be more than a few when you become an adult, right? It'd be great if people can use them at times like those.
