(no subject)
116 pages of hard reading for tonight. The entire Hesiod Theogony(and I've read this before and don't have too hard a time with epic poetry. Some of the people in my class must be going nuts) and a chapter of Freud for Mythology tomorrow. Going down to Hilltop for pizza with Spoon tonight (YAY! No Sodexho!) then coming back and heading over to Dows to help Morgan understand the reading. She's one of those people that doesn't get epic poetry. Heh, she's going to be pissed when we get to The Odyssey. The class is going to be awesome for what it is, but unfortunately, Prof. Dobson isn't even remotely as engaging as Prof. Miller. He's a nice guy though and he'll be helpful if I get stuck on anything. In other news, I had a great audition workshop with Kaia over block break and she's pushing me for a role in a jazz trio in Trouble in Tahiti, one of the operettas in Triple Shot. I'm singing Unexpected Song for an audition piece, so I shouldn't have too rough a time. There was indeed a lot of drinking and partying over break, but enough so that I'm ready to be back in class and working again. Dan is still overall pretty awesome, but sadly he will be out of town this weekend doing an alumni thing with his old military school. And finally, I get my grades for last block tomorrow, and I'm crossing my fingers.
