Dang, is there any other links like that? It's because the artist has made it mature content to make sure no kids access it accidentally. I do the same thing myself. The only thing I can recommend is getting an account (completely free and gives you better surfing/access to art) or I could ask the artist to make it public.
I'll make a note on the recs post though! Thanks for the heads-up :)
Okay, since you don't know dA, it probably doesn't make a lot of sense.
deviantArt is hard on incest and yaoi in general, if someone reports it and they feel it violates mature content somehow, they will delete it automatically - no warnings given. All your cherished comments and faves are lost. It's a stupid rule but it all depends on how a person who doesn't like Sam/Dean decides to report it (whether they involve children in the report) and if your art piece gets popular/garnishes a lot of attention. Some pieces will never get deleted, some will - it seems arbitrary to me really.
The artist is just taking precautions, it's not likely because she thinks it's actually mature content. I hope that makes sense and you don't think the artist is being overly cautious for no reason.
