Me: So we're in a laundromat...

Catette: A lot of jokes begin that way, but not many long journeys. If you want to have a long journey, the laundromat is not the place to go...

Catette: I've decided that things on the floor are like things found in international waters. I found a quarter and a safety pin, and now they're mine!

I'm glad to be back in Quakertown again. It's a store where I can pretty much do whatever I want and no one bothers me unless a customer needs my help. On my first day back I completely re-organized the inventory room... There is also less of a need to look busy every waking second. I'll take on any project that needs to be done (inventory room is a case in point), but when there's nothing to do, nobody breathes down my neck. Unfortunately, a major construction project just started on one of the main roads I take to get to the Quakertown store, and I don't know a back way. As a result, my regular commute there has gone from half an hour to an hour, with no end in sight, as the construction isn't scheduled to end until next year. I'll have to find a back way.

Since Catette cleaned the apartment, I've been putting in a little bit of extra effort into it every day to keep it that way. I bought a new, miniature bookcase at Target for $20 which matches Rebecca's larger bookcase. It was a bitch to assemble, but it came with extra parts which allowed me to repair the bottom shelf on the big bookcase. Now, there's less clutter on the big bookcase. I've also been sorting through laundry and getting rid of stuff we don't need... but that's been an ongoing process since we moved in. I have too many random clothes.

We went to the laundromat tonight and Catette came with. Then we went to a diner for soup and salad. Having her back is fantastic. I was completely resigned to losing her last year.
