I am counting down to my vacation in Asheville, NC now. I have off of work today and tomorrow. I work Saturday and have off again Sunday and Monday. Then I work every day until my vacay. I have opening shift on the 14th and Rebs works until 6. We are probably going to leave after Rebecca gets home from work (if Cam is cool with that) and maybe stop somewhere for the night on our way down, arriving on the 15th. While we are down south we are hoping to make a day trip to Gatlinberg, Tennesse. That's where Catette is doing her month-long craft show, and it's one of the biggest craft shows in the US. So we figured we'd go check it out and visit her.
I need to get an oil change/tune-up before we leave. Maybe on Monday.
I am getting rid of our love seat. It was a nice love seat while it lasted, and it was only $25, so I can't complain too much. But the cats decided it was their personal scratching post and tore up both the arms beyond repair. We decided that rather than another love seat, we should get a desk. We have a desk for Rebecca's computer, but as of now, my jewelry and art projects tend to end up taking over the dining room table and/or the living room floor. So I seriously need my own... surface. I ordered the same kind of craft desk my mom has, and I am going to fill it up with beads! My mom recently bought a crapload of glass beads from a lady who is going out of business, and she ordered 21 quarter-kilos of Toho size 6 seed beads. She wants to start selling beads as well as jewelry...
What else is there to talk about? Oh! On Saturday I met my niece-to-be, Anna. (She is Rebecca's niece and will be mine when Rebs and I get married). Her mother is expecting another baby any day now, so we bought her a baby gift. We figured we should have something for Anna too, so we got her an etch-a-sketch. I spent a lot of time sitting and talking with her, showing her how the etch-a-sketch works. She's so smart and verbal... she JUST turned three, but I can understand her better than I can understand some 5-year-olds. I am basically head-over-heels in love with her. And there's another niece or nephew on the way with the same good genes, hehe. Any kid related to Rebecca is bound to be the cutest thing in the world.
