How hard can it be to put clothing on consignment?
I have a ton of stuff in good condition that I don't wear. Part of the reason for that is that when I got my job last year, I had to scramble for a work-appropriate wardrobe. At that time, I had no idea what would be acceptable and what would work for me, so I bought a bunch of stuff that ended up not fitting or being uncomfortable. I really don't want it cluttering my closet or apartment, but I don't want to give it to Goodwill. (God knows I give them enough already... I have tax receipts up to my ears). I'd like to get at least a few measely bucks for my wardrobe rejects.
I keep e-mailing the consignment shop closest to me (since the end of April) and they are never accepting stuff.
Is consignment supposed to be this tedious? Is it worth it? How the heck do I get cash for my clothes?
