fic rec: entourage, vince/eric

Jul 06, 2009 13:25

I love Entourage fics! I think I have mentioned this before, but there's just something in that fandom that gets to me every time.

Anyway. I have been meaning to do this, but I haven't, so here it goes. Fic recs! \o/ These are all pretty much Vince/Eric.

Home Sweet Home by astolat (6,201 words)
"Hail the conquering hero," was the first thing Ari said, to be fair, "and start working on your speech now; with the buzz you already got on this thing, that fat fuck Harvey will blow everyone in this town to get you that statue. Let's get some beluga."
Eric/Vince, nc-17. I really liked this, the flow of words seemed so easy. Just lovely.

Top Billing (4,990 words) by astolat
Eric looked at the bill and the neat little line of coke lying on the polished desk. This was clearly the beginning of the end, doing coke with Ari Gold on a Friday night, just so he could get i's dotted and t's crossed.
I just loved this one.

Here's Us Together series by fourteencandles ! ♥

I love, LOVE, love this series! It's awesome, and she's just so talented! It starts with If We Were Anybody, then there's Get It Together, and an interlude What's It's Like, then People Come Around (this one is 40,000 words, so take your time!), then two short snippets, Personal Security and Perks. After that is Get Used to It (~35,000 words) and People Do It All The Time (you can navigate using the green arrows!).

The thing between Eric and Vince had rules. Eric liked this. He liked the idea of order being imposed. He’d had rules in every relationship he’d ever been in, from his mother on down. With Vince, the stakes were higher, so the rules were more absolute. Eric didn’t write them down anywhere, but he kept track. Even after things were over, he could have quoted the rules as quick as he could come up with his home address in Queens, the license plate number of the first car he’d ever outright owned, or the first line he’d ever heard Vince say on the big screen.

Rule number one: No one could know.

They figured this out in high school.

Zen and the Art of Scheming

Vince likes Sloan. Seriously. What's not to like? She's cool - beautiful, and sexy, and classy, and real smart. She's the first of E's girls who's actually in E's class. Plus, she's willing to take the lumps. She has to have found out by now that E has a mean temper, and that he's worse than a bulldog once he's sunk his mental teeth into something, and that he's the worst passive-aggressor this side of the Pacific Rim. But she's sticking it out. Hell, when E went to Colombia with Vince to film "Medellín", Sloan was good with that, too, even though it meant she didn't see E for six months.
So yeah, Vince likes her just fine. He just doesn't like how she's starting to screw with E's head.
I enjoyed this. Made me smile.

That Kind of Story by fourteencandles
~40,000 words in ten parts. Hurt/comfort. Summary: Vince gets sick. Eric gets a girlfriend.
I remember reading this and loving it, but I need to read it again to be able to say anything else.

How Eric Likes His Eggs by zoetrope
Vince/Eric, NC-17, spoilers through Season 3. Also, Eric/Sloan. First, Eric can't stop thinking about Vince and Sloan together.
I loved this fic. Fantastic.

Good for You by giddygeek
pre-series, ~5,000 words. I really liked the feel of this. <3

Resolutions by dancinbutterfly
~5,200 words, It's New Years Eve and Vince is moping.

A Hollywood Fairytale
again by fourteencandles
PG-13/R, about 20,000 words, cute and heartbreaking.
Vince wakes up one morning and realizes he's in love. This must be what it feels like - this desire to touch all the time, and not just in sexual ways but casually, the way it feels better when they're in contact, somehow, even if it's just Eric's knee brushing Vince's on the couch in Ari's office or Vince's hand on Eric's back when they push through a crowded club.

And one extra! Just because! The Kingdom of the Blaggers by hackthis
It's Merlin/Arthur, but takes place in the entourage verse! \o/ READ IT! It's so good. ~23,000 words, nc-17.

The problem with being the son of Uther Pendragon, legend of stage and screen, winner of Emmys (twice), Tonys (once), Oliviers (multiple), BAFTAs (twice), Oscars (once) and People's Sexiest Man (twice) was that nobody was ever going to take Arthur seriously as an actor in his own right.

If Arthur stayed in London, his success was always going to be down to nepotism, name recognition or latent star fucking. At least this was the excuse Arthur gave Merlin when he packed his bags three weeks before he was to finish his Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts course and moved to Los Angeles.

And that's it! Enjoy! \o/

rec entourage, i love, rec
