I should have known....my Mom and my Dad have both been sick with colds and I spent a majority of the weekend with them both. I shouldn't have been surprised when I woke up feeling icky this morning. I went and took my first bridge task for CSE and sneezed and coughed the entirety of the way through it.
I drove home to pick up something before my next class, but by the time I got here I was so damned tired I crawled back into bed and slept for 5 hours.
I'm feeling a little better now. Instead of feeling like hell, it's more like purgatory lol. I'm trying to concentrate on homework, which, when reading about nuclear English, it's a bit difficult.
On a better note...my parents talked it over and my Dad has agreed to go to the Mosaic Career Fair sponsored by Gannett and USA Today in McLean, Virginia over spring break. I talked it over with them and told them that I owe it to myself to look at jobs outside of the Detroit area. I'm not eager to relocate. There are a lot of things and people that make me want to stay, but I shouldn't limit myself. The career fair is an entire 8 hours of lectures and portfolio critiquing and recruiters expos and such. It's going to take a lot to expand my portfolio and to put it all together for a few dozen agencies in just a month and a half, but I think it will be good for me in the long run.
Alright....back to writing my paper on the sociolinguistics of Austria
Wish me luck
