It's the woman the guy with the mustache dreamed about. [Can't be bothered to recall his name. In the slightest of chuckles,] At least she didn't morph into an old man.
[Jokes aside now, he pauses a bit before continuing fondly.] You all look happy. There's nothing better than being with the one you love.
Does knowing him make it that much weirder, or is he a hard case?
Oh. So he just likes her then. A couple's love can be another man's [or woman's, well actually, women's in his own case] heartache. [He says this matter-of-factually. Then more warmly,] The best to you two.
Little bit of both. Philips was the Colonel in charge when I was in training camp. So, just, imagine that in a dress and it gets pretty funny.
...Y..Yeah. He's...he's had a thing for her for a while. [He thought it was more than a thing for a while, too. I mean, who'd really think fondue meant food?] Thanks. Appreciate it.
[Old guy. In a dress. Well okay.] It is a little, but not something I want to see every day.
[Hmms at that for a bit.] She picked you. Nothing anyone can do about it. You're happy together. There's nothing to apologize for. That's just how love is.
[A little nod, and a smile now.] Just lucky she's here with me and we can be together. Things happened back home. We weren't - can't - be together. But then she showed up here. Can't say this place is all bad, if just for that.
You can't? [Genuinely, perhaps naively upset to hear this.] But love is supposed to conquer all! [It takes him a bit to realize.] And it did, if destiny reunited you two here. It must've been bad if it took this place to overcome whatever's happening at home. [More and more, he's hearing about some of the thinks people are thankful for about being in this dream world. Funny, when he's pretty much devoted himself to hating it.]
I was in a plane crash. Ended up frozen for seventy years. [Closes his eyes as he says this. Of course, he doesn't remember waking up. He came here sometime in between, but he's been told what happened by witnesses. And knowing that wasn't really much better than thinking he had died.
Seiji's words, though, bring a small smile to his face.] Can't tell you how glad I am to've come here. If it means being with her, I'd stay forever. [Which was true. And it wasn't like he was being useless here. There were real people here to protect. He was doing his job, and when he did finally wake up, he'd be right back where he was supposed to be, just seventy years past his time.]
Frozen? That really happens? I thought cryogenics was just science fiction.
[The second statement makes him think, though. He's built up all this hate and anger towards this place because it meant he wasn't with his beloved. But if she was here... well, how different would things be?] This place does what it wants though. You just have to hope it doesn't send either of you back without the other. [In a small voice.] To be reunited only to be torn apart again is too much to bear.

[It may not be seen that he's smiling, but you can hear it in his voice.] You're telling me. Been lucky enough to have who means most to me here...

[A single chuckle.] It was creepy. Wouldn't want that happening to my girlfriend.
Yeah, not everyone here does. [A pause.] You three aren't... all together, right? [Because well, you guys dreaming about the same girl and all...]

Know that for sure. [He didn't have anyone when he first got here. He was lucky enough that Peggy and Howard arrived not much later.
To that last question, however, he's just left rather speechless. You are saying this to a guy from the 40s, after all.]
N-No, no. Me and Peggy. We're together. Howard's just-- he's just...well, he's Howard.

[A little shrug, but as the other male continues speaking, he frowns.] Think about that every day. Don't know what I'd do if... [If Peggy left him...]
