The Taylor-Davis Family: Week Seven

Mar 04, 2017 01:50

Week Six: NO ONE DIED! But, much more importantly, Delaina became the mayor of this grand city, Jesse laughed in the face of danger when he fixed the computer and managed to not catch on fire this time, and Owen grew up! He became an adult who quickly called his teenage boyfriend and creepily kissed him before Brendon grew up. They were very much in love and Brendon eventually became pregnant, but Delaina seems to hate him, so things are going to get interesting next week, especially when he's not carrying her grandchild anymore...

small event: Day Out - take every eligible sim on your lot to a community lot and have fun
big event: nothing - the week goes on like normal

I hate you both.

I decided that we need some tangible to symbolize the mayorship, so Delaina used her considerable wealth (or a loan - let's be honest, most people in this town are a bit poor, so it's probably loans) to purchase the official Sunset Capital.

I locked Jesse and Owen in the new nursery that's on the new third floor (their house only really works by building upward rather than outward). Jesse doesn't seem to mind that much.

JESSE! WHY?

Well, Owen is going to have to miss the birth of his first child - he's too busy trying not to bring all those germs to the rest of his family.
Hmm, maybe I shouldn't have locked them in the nursery...

Meet Hayden Davis. She got Brendon's hair color and eye color and both father's skintone.

And as soon as they stuck her in the contaminated nursery, Owen and Brendon got ready to start on that second child.

See? I didn't even need to make them try for a baby.

Look, it's Delaina's firstborn, Leo Taylor! Welcome home, buddy.

Delaina: Look at my fancy new badge - are you impressed, buddy?
Leo: Super-impressive - much more impressive than the fact that you came back to life and all that.

Delaina - the woman who came back to life and wearer of the impressive mayor badge.

I guess Leo wasn't happy that Jesse didn't bother to come say hello. That's unfortunate.

Hmm, maybe Delaina wasn't the problem in the Delaina-Brendon drama.

O.o
Maybe she was mad because she was secretly in love with her son's boyfriend?

Jesse isn't worried, though - he knows that Delaina will fall in love with him all over again when she sees him feeding their granddaughter.

*awwww*

We need more colorful sims in town, so meet one of the latest, Reiner Griffin.

What's wrong, baby?

Oh.
*sigh*
I don't think I even need to look and see who this is. Hello, Delaina and Brendon.

And why are you even fighting when you have this adorable little girl, who has since grown up and whose hair apparently grows very quickly.

Flirty (Owen) // Party Animal (Brendon) // Sophisticated

Owen remembered her, and he's doing his best to teach her the important things in life.
Owen: Say "Daddy is the best in the world."
Hayden: Dgid
Owen: It had the "d" in it, I'm counting it.

Jesse might not have time for his stepson, but he does for his biological son.
Way to make Leo feel great about himself, Jesse.

Speaking of Leo - I think this bouquet has been sitting on the curb for a while.
Owen: I want flowers.
Go find a Kayla, then.

This makes me sad - bond with your sister, Jesse! You had a life before you got to this house, you know!

O.O
Um, Hayden, are you OK?

Much better. I prefer adorable grandmother-granddaughter bonding.

Enough!

This does not say a lot about you, Brendon - well, not a lot of good things.
Owen: I no longer care.

Looks like Hayden is going to be a big sister!
Also, what is wrong with your belly, dude?

Much better.

Jesse might not have time for his sister, but he does have time to work on his fitness.

Great priorities, dude.

I know, I know, but I'm not ready to say goodbye to my beloved mayor!

Delaina: I feel ALIVE.
Jesse: *doesn't care*

Jesse: *suddenly cares*

Pop x2

What is this, an ISBI?

Now I see where Hayden gets it from...

We interrupt the demonic possessions to bring the miracle of birth!

Owen needs to hand off this first baby because...

...yep, it's twins.
We have Emilie and Ray, who are so far identical and got everything that Hayden did (so, everything from Brendon, although the skintone is the same with both men).

Hayden doesn't like the focus away from her, so she decides it's high time to grow up and remind people that she exists.

Foodie

Brendon: Well, now that you're big, we can start training you in some self defense skills. You know, if Daddy ever needs your help, I want you to know what you're doing.
Owen: This doesn't seem like a good idea.
Brendon & Hayden: *don't care*

The week is starting to wind down, so we need to check out Delaina's big purchase, the Sunset Capital. After all, we do have an ROS event to get done.
I stuck the arch in the front for decoration, but we can pretend that it's for couples who want to get married in public.

Mini-tour time!

Mini tour time already over!

Luckily for Hayden, there was another little girl whose parents apparently dragged her along to the city hall as well (you know, if this girl wasn't a townie and therefore had no parents).
This is the feline-friendly Jacqueline Dyson.

Hayden is glad to meet someone who isn't family, especially not babies who are hogging all the attention.

Hayden: So, have you been to school yet? Do they really have real desks where you can sit and talk to friends?
Or, you know, learn things.

Nothing was really happening, so Delaina decided to bring out the drinks and see if she could make some money off them.

Owen was a little distracted.
Delaina: Aw, isn't my boy handsome?
He certainly thinks so.

Jesse: Hello, people who I just walked home with - long time no see!
Hayden: Hello, family, I can be cute and mimic things, ignore my siblings and pay attention to me instead!

I hate to break it to you, but your competition is going to start crawling and talking now.

We have Emilie...

Wanderlust (Owen) // Handy (Brendon) // Elegant

...and her brother, Ray.

Flirty (Owen) // Minimalist (Brendon) // Supernatural Fan

We'll have to wait until next week to see if Delaina gives into her feelings or continues to beat up her son-in-law, and we'll have to wait and see what Hayden will do to get the attention she so craves. I'm not worried about next week, why on earth would you say that?

Notes:
- I think Jesse might finally become an elder next week - thanks to his rebirth, he sure has been an adult for a while.
- I don't know what to do to make the city hall building profitable - I'd rather not have to use the bar to keep it turning any sort of profit. Any advice?
