The Royal-Thatcher Family: Week Four

Jan 10, 2016 15:45

From the round-up of Week Three, this is what happened in the Royal-Thatcher household last time: Graham was mostly bored in between writing books; Trinity worked at The Jewelbox, which helped with bills and buying beds for everyone; Trinity continued to fail at fixing the family computer, even though Graham is the one who uses it as a source of livelihood; the triplets grew up and Skylar showed that her "needs aesthetic change" trait was not a fluke, completing the week with blue hair; Daniel met and fell for Brendon Tibbs; Tyson continued to be a bit grouchy (probably because of his insomnia), but he managed to get everyone into private school, which puts him one step closer to his goal of attending a good college.

small event: sibling bonding - with all eligible siblings, have a day out at a community lot
big event: nothing - the week goes on like normal

No one is all that much of a homebody, so mealtimes normally consist of checking out the fridge to see if anything look edible and interesting enough to eat.

Skylar got another makeoever, this time with flame-colored hair that certainly helps her stand out in this family and makes her feel a little closer to her red-haired mother. It's slightly glitchy, but I really don't care.

Tyson has pulled Monty into his reading club, although he still hasn't convinced his little brother than dressing up is a requirement.

And Graham continues to have pretty boring days while everyone is out at school or work. He needs to spend more time writing - although I feel a little hypocritical saying that, considering my sleeping-in tendancies and such.

He managed to drag himself out of bed later that day to see his youngest become a teenager, though.
No one looked very excited, not even poor Monty.

Ah, I see they were simply saving all their excitemen for a fight.

Skylar, why are you fighting with Isla! And in the middle of your little brother's big day, as well!

I think she won, but I really don't care - I'm disappointed in you, darn Skylar!
Skylar: *doesn't care*

Anyway, here's a grown-up Monty!
Romance // Animal Lover

Um, Daniel, what are you doing? You look like you're much too excited to beat up your sister or something - is it because she's a hardened fighter, now? Because you're still bigger than she is, so I don't think that'd be the best idea...

Monty stepped in to save the day, and Skylar is too busy playing computer games to even notice or care. *priorities*

Tyson doesn't seem too impressed by Ashlyn Perry, who came home with someone after school that day.
Tyson: I mean, it's not like she's a book character or something. She doesn't even go to private school!
But she has glasses!
Tyson: So? That simply means she has bad eyes, like me, not that she's smart.
*sigh* Although quite true, I suppose.

Oudi, you already have a boyfriend! Just because part of her hair matches your skin doesn't mean you're available!

OUDI! This family is just too attractive, apparently.
Also, that looks painful, Skylar and Daniel.
Skylar and Daniel: *don't care*

Oudi: Hmm, what about that one...?
YOU ARE NOT ON THE MARKET!

Skylar's younger boytoy, Grant, showed up as well. I guess he wanted to make sure that no one else put the moves on his girl.

Good Grant, bad Oudi. Go home and back to poor Edison already!

Skylar decided to take the plunge and ask Grant to go steady, and of course he said yes. How could he say no to that adorable face?

And before they got the chance to properly celebrate, Skylar was waylaid by her brother while another waited in the wings.
Grant: Um, can I talk to my girlfriend now?
Skylar, Monty, and Daniel: *ignore poor Grant*

Pummeling each other with pillows is a great way to build a familial bond, apparently.

Hey, that might not be the best thing to do to the mayor's son, you know.

Owen: *is horribly shocked*
Monty: *is pleasantly shocked?*
Graham: *doesn't care and is ready to get away from all the teenage hormones*

Monty soon made it up to Owen, though, and Owen looked quite smitten.

Might not be the thing to say while Trinity's boyfriend is paying attention. Also, you are still married, so don't bug Trinity if you want to stay married!

What a shock, someone else is interested in Monty.

Ashta Fey, another classmate brought home. Sorry, but I think Monty is a little busy with someone else right now...

Aw, look at them together!
But what's that in the background?

Ashta, please go home now.

That's better, let's pretend that Ashta isn't there...

Well, now you're just flaunting your love in front of her.
Ashta: What love? I see nothing.
Smart girl. Now go home, please.

Trinity, please don't hurt yourself.
Spoiler: She died in a horrible fire.
Non-spoiler: I sometimes lie. She was fine and actually fixed the computer without any incidents. Bravo!

Trinity: He does realize that I'm trying to read, right?

Trinity: He is shaking the whole couch!

Trinity: Eh, actually, I don't really care.

Trinity: Nope, changed my mind again - MAKE IT STOP.

Trinity: Oh, thank god, he's going to school soon.
You're going to work as well in an hour.
Trinity: I don't care, as long as he's leaving.
You could just move to another couch or something.
Trinity: You know very well that you haven't given us enough seating options. Also, it's too early for logic!
I would disagree, but that's my opinion most mornings, so I can't really talk.

Aw, Daniel invited out his boyfriend, Brendan, and they were adorable, of course.

SEE? Can you deny the adorableness?

They really need another computer. One is not enough for two adults and four teenagers.

The triplets and Monty are all very, very close. Sometimes I'm frankly shocked that any of them have friends and love interests outside of each other...

I would say that it's no surprise that they can't resist the adorableness of each other, but they're siblings - they really should. Good thing Maxis doesn't allow for... closer relationships between siblings. I'm sure there are mods out there, but I'm staying far away from them and saying that they're simply all adorably close with each other. That is all.

Sounds like a future bestseller, doesn't it?
And I see you there, Tyson, reading in your underwear - someone decided that being casual isn't always such a crime, huh?

The siblings went over to The Jewelbox for their day out together.

Of course, their mother was also there since she works there, and there was apparently a cockroach infestation, so their day out quickly ended. Hey, at least I tried!
Also, what is wrong with you, Trinity?

Snow fun!

Skylar was very impressed with her work. Also, congrats on not getting any snow on you despite rolling around in it.

Monty: Did you hear about Tyson?
Daniel: Ooh, no, what happened?
Tyson: You do realize that I'm right here, right?

Despite having four children and never marrying, Trinity and Graham still very much love each other and find time to be all flirty and teenager-like - it must be all the hormones in this house.

Yes, Tyson, you are just as adorable as the rest of your siblings.
Tyson: *is proud of cuteness, as he should be*

Just another regular day with the Royal-Thatcher siblings. Gossiping and noogies. It is a bit surprising to see Tyson giving the noogie instead of receiving it, though...

Tyson decided to invite Ashlyn over again, to see if there might be some more sparks this time.

What, cheating, me? I have no idea what you're talking about!

Tyson: You know what, I think I might be interested in Ashlyn a bit more now.
You don't say!

*smiles*

Their date eventually ended, though, as all four teenagers headed off to their own college adventure!

That means that, for the first time since a few days back in week one, Trinity and Graham are alone together! It'll be interesting to see how things go with just them in the house next week...

Notes:
- Even though Monty is younger, he got a whole week of being a teenager, and at the end of the week, he had roughly a week of being a teenager left, only a little more than the triplets, so I decided to just send them all together. If Monty had stayed behind, then he would have only had a couple days left of teenagerhood by the end of the next week, and it might not have seemed worth it to make him a young adult, which would screw up the ages anyway, so Monty simply gets to go to college with his siblings. They all seem like a package deal at this point, anyway.
- I haven't decided if everyone is going to look for new romances in college or wait for their younger paramours. Brendan, Daniel's boyfriend, is a townie, so he can grow up with them, but Grant, Owen, and Ashlyn all have another week of being teenagers before they go to college, so if the rest want to wait for them, they'll have an awkward week where they're all adults and their love interests are in college. We'll have to wait and see what happens in college, I suppose...
