Masterlist of Ways to Save Community
Things that Everyone can do:
-Netflix: Go here, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click either "Start Live Chat" or "Call Us" and tell a Netflix representative how much you want them to pick up Community as an original series. They have confirmed that they are taking our responses into account and will relay the information to the higher ups in the company. Also tweet the hashtags #NetflixSaveCommunity, #NetflixSavesCommunity, and #Netflixpickupcommunity. Tell the Netflix representatives about these tags to let them see all the people supporting the show. Information Source: This Reddit Post. Also sign this petition for Netflix to pick up Community. Many people are doing this, although there are reports that they will not pick up Community due to Hulu having rights to it.
-Hulu: Hulu picking up Community is slightly more likely than Netflix. So tweet #HuluSaveCommunity and tell their support that we would love for them to pick up the show.
-Do the same things mentioned above with Amazon Instant Video, Crackle, Comedy Central, TBS, Adult Swim, AOL, Yahoo, and Xbox Entertainment Studios. Idea came from this Reddit Post.
-Twitter: On top of tweeting the hashtags mentioned above, tweet #SixSeasonsAndAMovie, #Savegreendale, and #SaveCommunity everyday. Also, tweet a picture of yourself with a To-Do star with the words "Save Greendale" on it with #GreendaleStars. More info on that here.
-Like the Save Greendale Committee Facebook Page and post on facebook with the same hashtags mentioned above.
-Follow the Save Greendale Committee Blog on Tumblr and post in the hashtags mentioned above.
Things for the more Skilled Fans to Create in Support of the Show:
-Fanart, Save Community Propoganda Posters
-Fan videos
-Fanfiction
-Post your works at central places such as Youtube, DeviantArt, and Archive of Our Own with easilly searchable tags and post them to Reddit and Tumblr for publicity.
Crazy Ideas for Campaigns to get Community Picked Up:
-Start viewing parties of Community on Hulu: Start a campaign to get people to sign up for a free 2 month trial of hulu that you can get for free through the Best Buy website. Then we will designate certain times weekly for a bunch of people to get together and IM, Video chat, and livestream before, during, and after watching an episode. We can have giveaways, games and contests. This would be a great way to bring new fans to Community, and the increased views and subscriptions on Hulu could help motivate them to pick up the show.
-Start a raffle with the prizes being Community merchandise, fanart requests, fanfiction requests, etc. The proceeds will go to a charity such as Big Brothers or Big Sisters to gain publicity for the show and support a cause. This is the same type of thing that the Glee fandom did a while back. If you are interested in helping, sign up here.
-There has been talk of making a Kickstarter to either directly support the show, or donate to a charity as mentioned above.
-Gather at conventions in cosplay in support of the show
-Get a group of writers together to collaboratively write a series of fics like they are episodes for season 6. Not just shipping-focused fics, but full on community episodes written for all fans of community.
-Send canisters of sperm to NBC (Pierce style)
-Start a Treasure Hunt to save Greendale. (I don't know how this would work, but it would be a cool reference to Basic Sandwich)
