Disclaimer: This isn't related to a certain person or circumstance. I was feeling like heavy today and sat down on much lunch break with a piece of paper and pen in hand and asked God to show me what He wanted to say...so this is what He showed me and I wrote it down. Thought I'd share it in case it was anything that God wanted to show others!
When fear and worry drag you down, you must remember the hope God has promised you. He alone is the one You can FULLY rely on. He alone is the one you can completely trust. He does not deceive you. He is ALWAYS faithful. Do not put your hope in friendships because others will fail you. God is sovereignly working in your life and in the lives of those you love. Do not dwell on the mistakes that those you love make. They are human too. God is working in their lives through their mistakes and will use them to draw them closer to God and to teach them. Forgive them. Pray for them. Do not let bitterness enslave you, dominate you or destroy you. God is often teaching you and strengthening you through the cruelness and mistakes others make against you. You are responsible solely for your own actions. You can not control or dictate the actions of others. You can only control and dictate how you respond to their actions. Remember that everyone is a sinner and has faults and problems. If you put too much hope in other you will get hurt. People will lie, God is always truthful and faithful. People break promises. God's promises are forever. People forget you, God will never leave you OR forsake you. A dangerous route is ahead for the one who puts their entire hope in the world and the people in it. In this world there are many battles we will face. Many valleys and mountains. God's grace is amazing in the good times and will carry us through the bad. Trust God. He is our strength and salvation. His love never fails, His love never ends.
