I haven't been up to a whole lot. Working mostly. I was please to get my check yesterday, I was not pleased that Uncle Sam took out just shy of $70 in taxes...making my almost $300 earned more like $215 earned. Fucking taxes.
I jammed with Liam and Phil the other day. That went well. I need to get in touch with Dana soon to get us all together...so this band can finally start up. Only concern I have is whether or not these guys really want in, or are they just doing it as a favor to me...? I guess we'll see how things play out.
BSC has come barging back into my life. I received my first alcohol violation...or will receive it. I have a phone hearing on June 13th. Sweet. You may be wondering how this all happened...we'll he's the back story: On tuesday May 10th I was gone for the better part of the day taking finals. My roommate, T completed his last final that day, moved his stuff out to his car and did express check-out. (This is where you sign a form saying you don't care to walk through your room with an RA, and that you just accept responsibility for any damage or anything they find.) Meanwhile I'm still off taking ky finals. Shortly after leaving, the RA's ventured to our room to complete T's express checkout form, and what do you suppose they found? Empty Beer cans. Apparently T found them in the common room while moving his stuff out, and decided to put them on my desk (not throw them away, like anyone with any sense would do, since it IS a dry campus) before leaving. So T peaced out and left the beer cans on my desk. The RA's wrote us up. Now we have a hearing. I'm not happy. It can be said in T's defense that he doesn't drink, so they aren't his cans, however there is no way of knowing if they were mine or not, because our suite-mates drink too. I for one am very, VERY careful about drinking and disposing of alcohol...so I sincerely doubt that they were mine. Yet, I'm still paying for them...
Not to point a finger of blame at my roommate, but C'MON! THINK! Why would you put beer cans in plain sight on my desk and then hand in your key to an RA and sign a checkout form? IT only makes sense that the RA's will come up and check the room, thus completing checkout on that day. Jesus...why wouldn't you just throw the cans out?! It's like you flagged down a state trooper in the interstate to help you change a flat while you have an empty 12-pack and a pound of weed in your back seat...WTF? THINK!
Now that my rant is over...I'm going to go get ready to go to work. FUN-FUN!
