Fun things to do during the two hour commute from your hometown to your apartment:

#1--Try to figure out which classic rock song is about to be on the radio before the lyrics start. (Then, argue with yourself out loud until you get it right or the lyrics start--which ever comes first.)

#2--Mentally decide on songs you want playing during your wedding reception. (Never mind the fact that you're eternally single through both choice, fate, the general lack of guys' interest, etc.)

Yeah I know I've been gone from LJ for a while.
I guess my life after high school and college got so boring that I needn't update weekly/daily/etc.
I will be starting grad school in the fall so maybe thing will get exciting then.
Then again, thing may get so busy I won't have time to update.
Oh the conundrum right?
My beach vacation last week was okay.
I discovered though I'm not one for the 'lay out and burn/tan' scene.
The friend I took with me wimped out at the water park too. :|
Next time, I will bring a friend who'll go on the rides with me.
I had a few moments too where I'm sad to say I didn't know why she's my best friend.
Shocking I know but we really have had some serious differences spring up lately.
She's awesome in the important ways though so it works out.
I had a moment yesterday where I felt pretty, that's not happened in years. :|
I semi reconnected with an old 'friend' (I use that term loosely) recently.
Turns out this person had also been thinking about our lack of communication lately.
I always doubt people when they say that, like maybe they're faking it
and just covering their bases since they're not the one who started the talking.
I'm renting my textbooks (at least this fall) for grad school instead of buying them.
It's going to save me at least $100 I think.
My big dream control story is progressing along, it's almost 35 pages now.
I had some ideas recently of how to progress it more so maybe I'll work on that tomorrow.
I do have a three day weekend thanks to being employed at a university again.
Monday's a day I'm hanging with a good friend and Sunday's big plans thus far to clean.
So...yeah. :)
Today I'm running errands as I put it.
This basically means returning library books and shopping a bit.
Anti-book recommendation before I go I guess since I have nothing else to say.
Don't read the book After by Amy Efaw.
It builds up a really good plot line only to have crappy/no resolution at the end. :S
