I love going to the eye doctor. I'm absolutely serious about this.

First, the staff there rocks: the receptionists, the eye-glass consultants, the 'nurse'... they all rock. While waiting, I actually have a variety of choices for reading material. And they are all RECENT magazines or newspapers, not old. out-dated ones that you see in salons or the dentist office. Second, I have a real cute eye doctor. Well, when I'm actually in the appointment I don't have my contacts in, but I know he's a good lookin' guy. Not only is he good looking, but he also is VERY intelligent and likes to chat for a little bit as well as examine my eyes. He responds to the chit-chat I make, and even takes a few minutes to joke around about random things. Finally, he gives me the option to 'test' my prescription for a week to make sure its okay for me. If its not, he reexamines my eyes for free and adjusts the prescription. That to me is just common sense, but you don't find it everywhere.

So, all that being said, there are a few observations from my trip:
1. I was reading an article in the waiting room of my eye doc's office yesterday about how the MBA is becoming an obsolete degree. Not just because so many people are getting it (100,000 in 2004 compared to 30,000 in 1974), but because the focus is now on accounting and other bachelor's work as opposed to the administrative side of it all. Then, on the second page of the article, There were 2 ads for MBA programs. I thought it was FUNNY!!! haha. If you want to look for it, it is in the issue of Time that has the Pope on it. It also has lists of the top Grad schools for Law, Medicine, and various degrees. Good times, great laughs.

2. Well, I got my eyes examined and a new prescription as a parting gift. Wow, it was a HUGE change. I'm sitting here at work - doing that normal work stuff - and it starts to rain. No surprise there. But then I looked outside to see the rain. There is a lot to be said for great vision. The rain looks incredible today. Why? because I can see it. Everything is sharp and defined. This is great.

Conclusion: I love getting my eyes checked. Its as if I'm looking at the world AGAIN for the first time every time I go. That, to me, Rocks.

Well, enough with the rambling.

Yesterday was my last Lit. Criticism class ever, last Chamber Choir concert ever... its happening guys. I'm ready, but I'm not. I'm going to miss a lot of this, a whole lot.

Well back to work: I have a LOT to do before next week.
