Happy (early) New Year!!!
Since I will not be home until New Year's Day night, I figured I would say it now! Hope everyone had a very merry Christmas. Mine was short, but good for the most part.
I got to spend a day at Disney with Mike before I took him to the airport to go to Texas. His family was upset that I didn't get to go with him to spend Christmas there, but, my family would almost disown me if I did that. Last year we drove to Texas on the day after Christmas and stayed through New Year's since we didn't go on a bowl game trip. This year is different because Mike isn't in Chiefs and I am, so it made travel a little more difficult. Maybe next year though, who knows.
My best friend is getting married and asked me to be the Maid of Honor. Of course I said yes so part of the break was spent wedding dress shopping and all that since she's getting married in August. That was lots of fun, nice re-bonding time with her. I miss her tons and it's rare we get to spend a lot of time together.
Came back to Tally yesterday for the basketball game last night. Then today I've just kind of been lazy around the house. Well, not really lazy, I have done like 4 loads of laundry and cleaned up Mike's room some and put his new comforter set on his bed. I need to get packing here shortly so that I can get some sleep tonight. We leave at 9am tomorrow for Nashville for the bowl game. I'm excited! This is my final bowl trip and the first one out of the state of Florida. There's a possibility of snow too! Yipee!!
School last semester went well. I ended up with a 2.76 for the semester which was enough to bring my overall GPA up to a 2.16 and get me off of Academic Probation. So that means I will get my financial aid next semester! Woo hoo!! I ended up with 4 A's, B-, C+, and then I ended up failing my poly sci class. So much for that curve he said he would give. Anyhow, it was still a good semester overall. Hopefully I can do just as well next semester and then I will be perfectly on track to graduate Summer 08. The end is near and I cannot wait to move to Tampa with Mike and start a real life, with a real job.
Anyhow, that is my update for now. Back to the laundry and packing. So long!
