I have AWESOME news!
Today has totally been a kick-ass day! I got to work (ClearChannel) this morning, got a cup of coffee, spoke with the promotions people before our promotions meeting with Charlie (my boss) and away we went!
The promotions meetings with KRUF went well, but not half as well as the one with KTUX (99X-the rock station). Kevin West, the program director, and all of the rest of us promotions peeps were talking about the upcoming Crossfade concert in July. I had mentioned to him earlier that Crossfade was one of my favorite (and especially Scott's favorite) bands. So after the meeting, he jotted me an email letting me know that he was hooking me up with 2 tickets and 2 ALL ACCESS BACKSTAGE PASSES for scott and I!!!!!! HOW FREAKING AWESOME!! I love working in entertainment! I have to wear my Clear Channel lanyard (aka press pass) and the all access pass, and scott has to wear the all access pass--but with all the passes and stuff we get to hang with Crossfade backstage before the concert and then we're going to the bar with them afterwards (with no bodyguards on our tails yay!!). I'm so psyched! --Lora, if I knew I could get extras, I would totally grab you, cause I know you like CF too!--
Ok, well I had to leave CC early cause Charlie took all of us out to lunch at Nicky's (mexican food, now i have the shits--j/k!!!) and Mr. Andy from the Better Business Bureau (where I still work sometimes) called me and asked if I could fill in for one of the girls that took their sickleave for the next couple of days....so I'm going to miss CC for the next few days--sniff sniff. Oh well, at least I'm getting paid! Only thing is, I have to stay in touch through email because I'm in the middle of some big projects (planning a sports backers luncheon, and the "94 days of summer" for K94.5). I also have a few press releases I have to get out before Friday, but everything should be cool by the time I get back.
Ok, well back to answering the phone for angry people at the BBB. Yippie.
