I've been mulling over ideas for my home which I will be moving into soon...but for the life of me, I need help!
When you walk into the house you're thrust right into the foyer and to the left there is our formal living room. The doorway is a large archway. To the right is the formal dining room with another large archway. Straight ahead are stairs that lead to the upstairs bedrooms. My quandary is this:
I'm trying to keep my Georgian very traditional. The left living room will be painted a lovely yellow, the dining room a pea green. What to do about the archways and the stairway? Also, all the bedrooms upstairs have lovely Asian influenced wallpaper that I will be keeping, all in blues, reds and whites. What color should I paint the stairway and arches and also, should I do half the stairway in a lincrusta wallpaper? Any suggestions would be great. I'd love to brighten up the stairway.
