Eww- popcorn

I'm hoping someone in this community can help me- we moved into a house with the dreaded popcorn ceilings. They are just awful! While I have dreams of being able to afford having them removed or lowering the ceiling, I am hoping that there is some shortterm solution to improving them (something DIY crafty.) It is highly recommended that you do not disturb it in any way if there's a chance it has asbestos in it. You can have it tested to be sure, but based on the date your house was built, it's almost definitely got it ( ... )

I think I'd heard that about the paint- but thanks for the reminder, I'll definitely keep that in mind.

They've got a special popcorn ceiling roller at Lowe's. No sprayer needed at all! I used it, and it was both cheap and easy.

Didn't some of the popcorn break off, though? It's very important to not let any asbestos particles get airborne, so if any of the popcorn comes off with the paint roller, you have a potential for asbestos inhalation. It's something you have to be very, very careful with. Personally, I'm much more comfortable with a sprayer.
