bathroom closet...gypsymarieJanuary 9 2009, 15:21:15 UTC
the closet was practically unusable. the closet and bathroom door opened to each other. so, i took the door off, painted the inside and made it halfway pleasing to look at!

I love the idea of having a weekly thread where its ok to post just a corner or a closeup of one thing - maybe a sunday evening thread for the weekend's work?

I loveloveloved my place as soon as I found it, but finding the perfect curtains to fit ooooold 12' tall windows was really difficult, especially because everything I could find that was even close was a nice shade of beige, cream, or tan. I decided to make my own curtains, and found this awesome discontinued P. Kaufmann fabric from the Jo-Mar warehouse in Philly (if you've never been, please do check it out!) I later found that this brand of fabric can typically run anywhere form $15-$20 a yard, and was able to get mine at $4 a yard... what a steal considering I needed 7 yards! too much talking, here are a few photos:
I am unfortunately stuck with living in a dorm right now, but I do like how I managed to arrange my wall and bed. The prints are Alice Meichi Li's, a young artist I've become fond of. Eventually I'll own that entire series and do a wall in my house/loft/apartment in them. That room's big for a dorm room, but that's not saying much. XD
