Mod Post: Show-Me-Your...
OK folks, we decided to have a trial period where we restricted the Show-Me-Your posts to Fridays. It worked pretty well - we didn't have to delete very many off-day posts (just a couple a week). But now Fridays are kind of scary. Last Friday, 100% of the posts were SMY posts. The Friday before that, 78% of the posts were SMY. Before that, it was 100% again. I know many of you (us included!) are feeling a little overwhelmed when Friday rolls around, as far as the toll it takes on your friends pages; it also makes it more difficult to scroll through the archives to find what we all really want - good pictures of great sauce. So here we go with another experiment:
On Friday mornings, one of the mods will post a "master" Show-Me-Your post, and if you have a request, post it in the comments of that post. We will delete any independent SMY posts without reminders.
Please don't forget, though, to check the post on Friday to see if there are any requests you can help out with. We'll check back in a few weeks to see if this set-up works well, and you're welcome to send us feedback about it.
