Well, I suppose an update would be in order... it's been a long time. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and all that jazz. For some odd reason Christmas is probably one of my least favorite holidays. I guess it just got old when I was in high school... probably around the time I started working retail at a Sears in California. Perhaps it coincided with me realizing that Christmas is just an excuse to shop for most people. Or maybe I'm just cynical...
So my work has a new awesome bonus system; $500/mo if I meet my goals, as well as an extra $500 if my team actually meets its (Which I doubt it will). Even so, if the team meets the less stringent goals (which it prob will) and I get my act together for three months straight, I'm looking at a nice little $2000 bonus every 3 months.
Christmas is a leisurely ordeal for me this year. Bought presents for Sabrina, my mom, my sis, and I'll be snatching up something for my sister. got my mom a Beatles #1s collection; got my sis a Franz Ferdinand album, Sabrina some anime and a gamecube controller, and myself an old rage against the machine album. The only other thing I have plans to buy for myself (with Christmas money of course) is a new TV, cause I'm sick of surviving with just a 13". Hoping to get a 27+" flat screen for around $150 on craigslist.
Speaking of all the music stuff; my friend Allen from work gave me a heads up on a great local band that was playing. It's a hardcore/industrial band called sixstitch. Awesome. Seriously, just really f'n good. Went with he, another friend from work, and Sabrina. Really good groovin' baselines, singer had nice vocal range, had a blast. Ended up buying their latest CD used at Zia. I love Zia :-)
New Years Resolutions: keep in better touch with distant friends; be more proactive in going after what I want
