The summer...
is almost over...for me, that is. Tomorrow I go back to working my two jobs at UIC, and next Monday I begin my second year of graduate school. All I can think is: where has the summer gone??? It seems like it just started, and now it is over. But thinking back on the last few months, so many things have happened that it helps me to realize that I have had a wonderful summer, and so here is my quick recap:
Year one of grad school done. I did exceptionally well! Went to Virginia to see Tess and help her move out of her dorm. Came up here and began working full time for the summer at my mom's office. Made lots of money, and ended up with a lot more responsibility at work than I ever thought I would.
Had oral surgery, which Tess came up to visit for. :) Worked a lot more, looked at apartments and signed a lease for July 1st. I drove to Virginia on the 4th and brought Tess, and all her stuff, back with me. We moved in together in our cozy apartment on the beach. I spent the next month commuting to work, and it was hard for us. She found a job at Home Depot and my job in Naperville eventually ended. We took a mini vacation to Dixon. And tomorrow I go back to my busy busy life...oh geesh!
Oh, and also: Spent lots of time with Alicia!!! Tess got to meet her and Omair, finally! Hung out with Omair a few times too. Went to Jill's wedding and got to spend the day with Olivia and Dusta. Went to the roller derby with Tess and Nat. Tess got to meet my nana and my nephew Sean. My brother moved out to Las Vegas with the dog :( Had some fun guitar hero/rock band times with Nat, and some memorable bar/dancing experiences as well. She rocks!!! Got back in contact with Trina. Got to spend quite a few times in the water with my baby, in the waves :)
And here I sit, about to go pick up my Ashley from work and head to the beach before the water closes. For tomorrow, my regularly scheduled life will resume.
