And in depressing real-world news, Roman Polanski is now free to go. Because honouring small legal technicalities is more important than seeing justice in the case of a man who drugged and raped someone, then fled the country to avoid sentencing. I'm usually a Pollyanna, but along with everything else that's been happening in the world lately - Johannes Mehserle's slap on the wrist, the BP oil spill - this makes me feel so angry and helpless.
I just want to live in a world where people can't get away with murder just because they're rich, or famous, or cops, or white.
