Oh my gosh. Hands up if you've seen Rock and Rule, the best post-apocolyptic Canadian animated feature about mutant rat rock stars with music by Cheap Trick, Lou Reed, and Debbie Harry! Well, now I have, and I can safely say... what was that?
No really, what?
I think it's one of those movies you either love or hate. I loved it. I enjoyed the nonsensical script, the amazing-for-a-PG-movie drug abuse, the zero-g clubbing scene with music by Earth Wind and Fire, and especially Mok Swagger's creepy creepiness. The only way it could have been better would be had I been watching it on VHS in someone's basement, smoking pot and eating Doritos.
Still. Good movie, guys. You owe it yourself to see it. Tragically it, uh, totally fucking bombed (thus ensuring that Nelvana would limit themselves to Care Bears and Franklin the Turtle forver after) and there was never a soundtrack released, but that's how these things always go.
