(no subject)
There isn't really much too much going on of late, but I felt like blogging in here because I simultaneously don't and desperately want to make human contact at the same time. I don't think it's one of my usual dips; just more the result of an uneven sleep pattern. The summer flex program starts next week, so hopefully my sleeping pattern will be much better regulated and I'll have something to keep me focused and out of the house at least three days a week, maybe all five if I can help it.
Texas Comicon is next month! I'm preparing to dress up as Bobby Singer from Supernatural, beard and all so far it's a hit? I'm going to Starline on Saturday to pick up a wig and spirit gum for better beard-adhesiveness. It's great because I'll be meeting up with Jen there, who's cosplaying characters from Supernatural all weekend. I still kind of can't believe I'm on friend status with her. She's so frigging amazing and awesome, not just in cosplaying but as a person. I feel a bit like I'm back in high school and lucked out in becoming friends with the cool kid in school who is also really nice. We'll see how it goes. I'm sure it'll be fun. And then there's San Japan in August! Yay! I already reserved the hotel room. Now to spend as little as possible all summer. Good thing I still have all that money on my Starbucks card...
Speaking of Starbucks, I think I'm going to spend a lot more time writing there, what with Camp NaNoWriMo starting at the end of the week and my participating in it. Not quite sure what I was thinking, but I'm taking the opportunity to sort of step outside my writing comfort zone and try writing smut. XD It feels weird not writing in a universe that is a)completely different from UtVG and b)so far not heavy on angst. But we'll see how long that lasts! I'll just be happy if I manage to write an entire story from start to finish this month that is also 50,000, since my track record with them is that I get well and good and then peter to a stop after the month is over. /o\ But hey! Smut! Everybody likes smut.
So that's about it. Oh, well... My left sinus has been feeling kind of pressurized and painful every time I cough. I don't like it at all. :| It's feeling a bit less painful now, but I have a feeling soon as I go to sleep it's going to plug right up and hurt all day tomorrow. If it does, I'm totally brewing some tea and sticking my face over the steam. That always works...
