Vengance in Eight Easy Steps
There were other things I was going to talk about, deepish things, but I'd rather just announce this, instead:
It's dooooooone! It's finiiiiiiiished!
I sent in my finished entry for Crypticon's writing contest, topping out at 10,918 words. (The cap was 12,000.) The end result is something I really like and will like regardless of whether it gets picked or not. However, my head kind of hurts from suddenly stopping the momentum of intense, srs bsns writing. I'll catch back on tomorrow...
In case anyone is interested in seeing what I was looking at over the course of the last few days to work on my contest entry, there you go. I'm pretty sure I'm missing one or two things, though, since I just hastily threw this together on EasyBib. >.>

In addition to the Pro-Edits Editing page, this page was really helpful as an example of how the "professional manuscript" format should look, since the contest rules required the entry to be formatted a certain way. I also looked at how FenCon explained the General Manuscript Submission Guidelines at the bottom of their contest announcement page. Not sure if I'm going to do that one, yet, though. It's a sci-fi/fantasy based con in the Dallas Ft. Worth area of Texas. Given that the deadline is July 20th, maybe I can do something. The max word count is significantly lower, though... >.> A challenge, perhaps!
But not yet. Right now I need to let my mind relax, so I can switch over to writing about Salvaza and Eleanor being cute and running a floral shop in Brooklyn for brigits_flame--while also avoiding the exterminator coming in tomorrow. D:
