I definitely sat here going through some things on a freewebs site that I had made a long time ago, and I was looking at some of the unfinished stories that I wrote, and this one definitely stuck out at me because... I tried so hard before to get back to writing it. XD It's one of the stories from the project that I was doing that involved "overtold" fairy tales/stories and members of KAT-TUN. The first story in the series being "Junnosuke in Wonderland". So, I thought that I should bring that story back to life in this livejournal thing, since I'm already bringing back DOCORONKA.
So, here we go. Try to enjoy... XD I wrote this like... two years ago, so it sucks more than usual.
Chapter One
Down the Rabbit Hole
It seemed, as if in a complete second, the world was covered by the blanket of white that everyone loves to call snow. Junnosuke was walking down the sidewalk, trying to return home, but was becoming distracted by the snow. It was the first snowfall of the year, and he didn't want to spend it locked up at home, so he was taking his time. The growing cold did not bother him as he walked with a much slower pace than before.
As he was walking, he spotted a vender selling a wonderful variet of hot foods and drinks. Someone was ahead of him, so he got behind the person and waited his turn. This gave time for Junnosuke to think. The group that he was in, KAT-TUN, was taking a two week vacation from all the glamour that was their life. So, he though, I might as well do somethign worth while! But what?
The person in front of him turned around, and to his surprise, it was Tatsuya Ueda, one of the members of KAT-TUN. The U, if you want to be precise. Tatsuya was happily snuggled with his warm drink that, from where Junnosuke was standing, smelled like coffee. Junnosuke opened his mouth and said, "Ueda! You look warm."
"I don't feel so warm," replied Tatsuya. "I'm sick, you know."
"Oh, you are? Then why are you out in the cold!?"
"I ran out of hot drinks at home."
"So, you decided to come out here, to this vendor, and get, out of all things, coffee? Is it too bitter?"
"Maybe I like it bitter..."
The vendor was listening on their whole conversation... but that's not so important. Junnosuke finally finished talking about everything that was about nothing to Tatsuya, and went up to the vendor. "I want to have some cocoa," Junnosuke ordered.
"Young kids these days, never appreciate the good stuff," the vendor said to himself in a tone of regret, but he still gave Junnosuke some cocoa.
After that, Junnosuke continued on his way home. The walk seemed to grow longer and longer, and what was really a good three kilometres of walking, seemed as if it was across the country. Junnosuke then saw something. He thought he was becoming delirious, bue he swear he saw it. It stopped him in his tracks, so it had to be real if it was able to stop him. And it was real. There, across the street, was a little black rabbit dressed with a vest and a pocket watch. He was carrying with him an umbrella, as if to keep the snow from falling on his rich, black coat and dress outfit. This was when Junnosuke really thought he was going mad. As he watched the black rabbit with the umbrella, he sore that the rabbit was actually talking!
Junnosuke's curiosty got to him, and he decided that he really wanted to figure out for himself if the rabbit was talking (or even existing). This could just be a trick of my own imagination, Junnosuke thought. He took a step off the sidewalk he was on, and crossed the street to the other side to where the rabbit was. Since the rabbit had his back turned to Junnosuke, he didn't notice. But surely, the rabbit was talking to himself, saying things like, "I'm late! I'm late!! Oh where is that crazy rabbit hole of mine?"
Junnosuke had the urge to say something in return to the rabbit, but he couldn't bring himself to say anything really. He was more astonished, and even so, didn't want the black rabbit with the umbrella to run away from him. But, in a blink of an eye, the rabbit said something that sounded like an, "Ah!" to Junnosuke, and began dashing into a nearby wood.
Junnosuke was dumbfounded. He didn't expet that to suddenly happen, so he began sprinting after the black rabbit. In the wood, he ran past all the trees, ducked all the branches, jumped all the fallen boughs, and almost lost the rabbit. But just in the nick-of-time, he saw the rabbit dive into a rabbit hole. This must be that rabbit hole he was talking to himeslf about, thought Junnosuke. He stared at it for a second or two, and then leaned in to it. The hole didn't look deep, yet it gave that it's-a-bottomless-pit feeling. He got on his hands and knees, and stuck his head into the hole. Anyone watching him may have thought that he was crazy or had problems.
Something strange happened once he stuck his head into the hole though. The sides got wider, and as soon as he noticed, he had slipped! What's going on, he wondered. This is not normal! Of course it's not normal. How many times a day--actually, make that how many times in a lifetime does one fall down a rabbit hole?
And so, Junnosuke fell, and he fell, and he fell....
Since I re-typed all that, I actually made a few changes, but they're only slight changes, so it doesn't really affect the story. Anyway.... :)
