Spring has Sprung

and along with it comes the customary mini-burn out ^_^. Granted, there's still snow and ice everywhere, but the patches of grass/mud are growing slightly wider each day, and the puddles seem to be invading from who knows where. Makes for much mud when cars go by (thanks to all the sand/gravel layed down in winter), but also makes for wonderful little streams wherever there's a hill. Very cool to have a stream going over permafrost- makes for little canyons and waterfalls as the water cuts away the ice and leaps off of frostheaves- very enticing to sit and watch them carry away miniature boulders and blades of grass/boats. Also helps that the sun has some real warmth to it, enough to take off me jacket and just languish, basking in the sun.
The interview at Design Alaska went rather well. While I don't have much experience in engineering, per se, I have enough of a diverse background that they knew I was trainable. That, and methinks my personality matched rather well with the outfit, so now I just gots to cross me fingers and wait. Also have to contact the folks at the Department of Transportation and see what their prospects are like.
For now, I am just happy to sit and relax- been very tired most of the day, with bouts of hyperness and sleepy sloth fighting each other. Plans are now to finish off the work day, play some WoW, go to Masha's for dinner, then maybe collapse in front of Silence of the Lambs tonight before bed.
