20-Day SW meme. Part 3
Day 03: Best scene
Well, as much as I love the original trilogy, or maybe because of it, my favourite scene is actually from ROTS. It's the scene where Vader gets his mask on. It's perfect in so many ways. The music is superb of course, because John Williams is a genius. And I love how the focus switches between Vader and Padmé's funeral. Like both of them were being burried, which I guess is partially true. And then when he finally breathes, in a total silence, that's just... epic. As it should be.
Second best is probably in ANH, where Luke, Han and Chewie are "rescuing" Leia, where Han talks to the comlink. I don't know why I like it so much. Probably because it doesn't show them as perfect heroes, who know exactly what to do, but reluctant and improvising not-exactly-friends-yet who have no idea what to do but do it anyways.
But of course, it's Star Wars, so - epic battles, lightsaber duels, clone wars and all that stuff - I love that too. :) It's hard to pick a favourite.
