looks like im really the only one who thinks the camp wasn't all that good. maybe cause im the only one who looks at it from an organizing pov.
went for the stanchart marathon as a volunteer. shit tiring, but it was all good. was cheering on the runners as they pass by for hours. incredibly tiring, but it was a great experience. the smiles on the runner's face, their words and gestures of appreciation really made all the shouting worth it. i suppose that as route marshals, the least we could do is to give the runners some support, and help them conquer the distance. the angmohs seem more appreciative though. lol.
there was this 1 part where i was clapping and cheering the people on, and some runner who ran past clapped in appreciation, and then sparked off a chain of clapping. man, that moment felt wonderful, like a connection between the runners, the helpers, and more runners. didn't last too long tho, but it was good while it lasted.
also rmb this angmoh guy who ran past, and said something about the encouragements being really inspiring. wow. that felt good, to have someone praise your efforts, and even say that its inspiring.
i foresee more to come. if im not there as a runner, i'll be there on the road still.
reflection,
running
