The Time of Our Lives
I can't believe the year's already coming to a close. It's been awesome! It had plenty of downs, sure, but all of the good stuff outweighs it all. I hope everyone's had a good one too, including this recent holiday season.
I bring you this end of the year meme taken from hockeysaurus and thats_my_story because I'm bored, it's been a while since I've posted, and this should sum up the year quite nicely :P.
1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
So many things! Zip lining, riding dune buggies, snowboarding...
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
No resolutions this year. I feel like they're never kept, so why bother setting myself up for failure lol.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
One of my pledge sisters had a baby girl earlier this year :).
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Luckily, no.
5. What countries did you visit?
The Dominican Republic for our honeymoon ^-^.
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
I guess I'll say a good job...It was fun tutoring at my old junior high, but that was just 'cause I didn't have any more school and was waiting for Josh to get back from his deployment so we could get married lol.
7. What date from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
June 10 of course for our wedding day and July 4 when we got our second puppy, Addie :D.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
A successful wedding LOL. Everything was pretty much planned by my maid of honor and I. It was stressful, even up until right before the ceremony, but it turned out perfect.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Um...I try not to dwell on failure or mistakes, so I can't come up with a good one. However, I am quite saddened that I missed 3 days/photos for Project365.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Anything bad?
Nothing bad...I feel live I've been sick for like 2 months. Slowly, but surely getting better xD.
11. What were the best things you bought?
Food? LOL Plenty of awesome things eaten in 2011...but also always :P.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My dad...He didn't get drunk and go crazy at my wedding *thumbs up*. But in all seriousness, he's been a pretty good guy this year. We had some tender moments :).
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
The in-laws and that whole debacle.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Probably the wedding and honeymoon...maybe Josh's Camaro lol.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Plenty, I'm sure...wedding, Disneyland (several times), Knott's...

Probably more art...I painted some things for my parents as Christmas presents, and it felt great.

Procrastinating and being lazy lol.

Spent it with my parents. Presents in the morning and turkey dinner in the evening.

I fell in love with our newest puppy :D.

Hate's a pretty strong word. I dislike some people now more than I did last year.

It's probably really bad that I don't read...but I don't lol. I have, however, started reading stuff when I go to bed at night on my phone. It's currently Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.

An easel, crochet kit, and the cliche-a wonderful husband :).

So hard to pick, so I'm going by genre lol. Chick flick: What's Your Number? Action: Fast Five. Family: Real Steel.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
We (Josh, his twin, swan, and I) had all you can eat tapas at Johnny Smalls in the Hard Rock, and I turned 22.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
I can't say if there's really anything. 2011 may be the best year I've had in a long, long time.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
T-Shirt and jeans never fail, unless it's a formal function :P.
34. What kept you sane?
My friends, sisters, and of course my husband.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Idk if anyone really stood out this year...I love them all for different things lol.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Marriage equality and all the hate towards the LGBT community all over the world.
37. Who did you miss?
Josh, while he was still deployed and then again when he was in Mississippi for training. Also, all my friends and family back in California. It's weird not being able to hangout with them all the time.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Hmm I think I'll say my friend Stephanie. I "met" her on orientation day for tutoring, and she looked so familiar. Turns out she's my grandbig's biological cousin. She's so funny and so sweet...crazy at times, but so am I lol.

Those who matter and love you will stick by your side, and you really don't need those who don't.

Looking Ahead: 2012
1. Will you be looking for a new job?
Still waiting for this one to hopefully go through.
2. Will you be looking for a new relationship?
Romantically, never. My husband's a keeper. I'm always looking to form new friendships though.
3. New home?
Probably not, but it's a possibility. If I have to get a job further from our house, we might buy another one because Josh'll be commuting to the airport for work every day anyway.
4. What will you do different in 2012?
I'm constantly trying to be a better person, so in that way it's the same, but I'll try to do different things to work towards that goal.
5. New Years resolution?
No set resolutions once again :P.
6. What will you not be doing in 2012?
Hard to say lol.
7. Any trips planned?
Nothing planned out, but I'm sure there'll be plenty of trips back to California. Everything else is unknown.
8. Wedding plans?
No second wedding for us lol.

Totally don't plan that far ahead :P.
10. What can't you wait for?
Just everything that is to come with my husband and our little family.
11. What would you like to see happen differently?
It's always a roller coaster with my mother, so hopefully that'll continue to get better.

Be an even better wife, work harder, etc.

If I ever get a job, I'll probably have to lol.

I only drink socially, and even then, it's one or two drinks. I think that's still acceptable.

I hope so.

I'll definitely try to. My current obsession is WeTopia on Facebook. It's a free game, but the money they make off of ads and stuff go towards funding different projects around the world. It's amazing! I wish I could help them more.

Kind of hard to avoid living in Vegas lol.
20. Will you be nice to people you don't know?
I try to be nice to everyone until they give me reason not to.
21. Do you expect 2012 to be a good year for you?
It'll be hard to top 2011, but I think it'll still be great.
22. How much did you change from last year to this year?
I don't really know. I can definitely say that I'm much happier and more content with where my life's at, but I don't know what's changed about me.

I don't plan on it...but idk if I'd mind it all that much if it happened lol. I love kids, and I've always wanted to be a mom...I definitely want to enjoy just being married with puppies for a while, though.

Hopefully...I've had half a year of dealing with being away from my friends I've had for a long time, so we can hope that those friendships will continue to be the same.
