Went to an interview with the Magnet school people today. It was the most nerve-wracking 45 minutes of my life. Every few minutes I mentally kicked myself for saying something stupid, not saying something when I should have said something, saying the right thing at the wrong time, etc. I was holding my report card during the interview, but I tore it up out of nervousness. It was so humiliating, because then I had to match all the pieces up on the man's desk like a jig-saw puzzle to show him my results. He said he was impressed and I didn't need to be worried, BUT AAARRRRG, how can you not worry when a guy who looks like Frankenstein's monster is judging your academic level? Later on, I went to the dollar store and bought bumper stickers to calm my nerves. I don't know why, but I find buying bumper stickers soothing. The best ones I got said "Honk if you're Bulgarian!", had a picture of Butters off South Park, had a Route 66 sign and a picture of Elvis. Mom wouldn't let me put them on the car, so I stuck them to my door to keep the Spongebob poster company. Also, I lost a baby tooth today, so whoop-de-doo, I get a quarter tomorrow morning. Pfft. Oh, my problems are solved, for I shall recieve a quar-TERRR. Look, in my life I've learned to appreciate the value of the almighty dollar much more than most people, but unless your either in the 1950's or one of the characters on Ed, Edd & Eddy, a quarter ain't gonna buy you jack shit. I am of the solid opinion that the quote-unquote Tooth Fairy should adjust her payment plans according to annual inflation.
