New game world lore

800 years ago the world faced a major cataclysm. Animar a vampire lord raged a war of blood and terror across the land. The Dark Lord amassed an army of demons and undead to systematically capture and sacrifice the population of each major capitol for his nefarious goal... To bring his God Orcus to the material plane.

A small group of adventurers arose to become heroes and put a stop to Animar's plans. Saint Rahamen of Beth, Sparticus the Mighty, and Lt. Olive were their names. They fought valiently against the demon legions and the undead scourge but in the end could not prevent Orcus from arising.

On that dark day an embodiment of evil touched our world and gripped it with an iron fist. Thousands of lives were lost in that moment and thousands more screamed at their certain doom.

Rahamen prayed for Pelor's intervention and the mighty god responded. Pelor entered the material world to put an end to Orcus and his chaos.

As the Titans battled the heroes fought for their lives against Animar and his general Cornell. The battle raged on. As the heroes began to tire Cornell slew Lt. Olive with a powerful spell. His friends fought with renewed fervor. Saint Rahamen cornered Animar and prepared to destroy the vampire lord. In his moment of peril Animar used a talisman to steal Cornell's soul and power to bolster his strength.

As his life force drained from his body Cornell gave Rahamen an artifact he claimed would banish Orcus to the Nine Hells.

Animar, with his amplified power, was more than a match for the heroes. While he kept them occupied Orcus used the Last Word to strip Pelor of his godhood. Orcus then struck down Pelor with a powerful blow. Decapitating him in the process.

In a fit of rage Rahamen used the artifact to banish Orcus. Animar attacked Rahamen but before he could stop him Sparticus grappled the vampire. They fell into a deadly embrace. Animar was severely wounded and lost his right eye, but Sparticus was slain by the undead abomination.

Rahamen and Animar battled. With his spells running out and his god defeated Rahamen began to weaken. Animar saw his weakness and grappled Rahamen in an embrace of death.

It is said that Rahamen fueled a final spell with his very soul. The spell engulfed the combatants and then the world in a white flash.

When the flash cleared it is said that nothing was left of man or monster but a small handful of dust and Rahamen's famous weapon. Some even say the flash destroyed every undead in the world.

That dark day left lasting reminders not only in the hearts and minds of the people but on the very world on which we live.

An order of Paladins, Monks, and Fighters called the Brotherhood of Rahamen carry on the names and beliefs of their deceased god Pelor and their champion Rahamen.
