AN: Yes, another cheat for my drabble series...but at least I'm finishing thoughts and plots I wrote awhile ago. **sighs** Two jobs and dealing with a stupid cough that won't go away doesn't give me much time to do anything...and today, I was a little high on cough syrup and a little out of it to think of much to write today.

She’s standing there, staring at the far off city and watching the little dots of people move around. The wind whipped around her, pulling at her hair and clothing. And still, she stood there, still as a statue and unmoved from the sight around her. She couldn’t see the colors in front of her, the vibrant hues of the emerald grass beneath her feet and the azure skies dotted with puffs of white clouds.

There was no point in the colors…not when her heart was shattering around her. There was no need to feel the warm sunshine on her face nor the soft caress of the wind. As she stared at the city, she felt there was no need to feel anything.

A movement caught her eye, and her eyes moved to follow it. A tiny, yellow butterfly was fluttering from plant to plant, landing briefly on a spot before moving to the next. The girl kept tracked of its movement, noticing its pale yellow wings. It was beautiful. It had no need to paint itself in shades of brighter colors. It had no need to stay in one place.

A smile curled her lips, and the girl took a step forward. Then another. Three steps. Five steps. Eight steps before she spun on her heels and flung her arms out. She couldn’t help the smile from spreading across her face--letting it smooth over the numbness it had felt moments before. A giggle bubbled up her throat and escaped her lips and rang like music upon the air.
