The world lay
In the vast hands
Of the universe
Struggling and fighting,
Like a cornered butterfly.
The universe peered at it
With great curiosity,
Laid one soft finger
On its contorting back
And said;
You are so free
If only you knew it.

-Hiawyn Oram, "Free World"

I'm really sorry about the delay in the epic Nicaragua post (because everyone cares...?) I've been having extreme difficulty sorting through all my hundreds of pictures and then getting them up on the 'net. Finally decided to screw Photobucket and use my .mac homepage, which is faster, but still not fast enough. Hopefully I'll manage to get the entire thing done tonight, but at the latest tomorrow, as the fate of the world obviously rests upon the ability of everyone on the internet to read about my adventures in Central America. Even saying that reminds me of Nicaragua. Every night Kayleigh and Josh would play cards "for the fate of the world." When pressed for explanation as to how the fate of the world would be decided, whose victory would cause what to happen, etcetera, they preferred to remain mysterious, as going into detail would take too long and delay the determination of global destiny. See, this is the kind of thing you're in for later... only times about 150.
