hmm...
okay, so it has definitely been quite a while since i posted. i started using the blog thing on myspace just because it's easier to update there instead of logging on another website and doing it. maybe i'm just lazy.
my last six weeks in switzerland were amazing. better than the first six, for sure. i don't even know where to start on describing them. just imagine the most fun you've ever had and multiply that by ten, and that's what my experience at our chalet was like.
the six weeks i decided to stay brought many things... an overnight hike up to bunderspitz, 2500 m above sea level. trips around switzerland, to bern, basel, and interlaken. a free day trip to lake como in italy. new friends from georgia, poland, denmark, tasmania, mexico, germany. a million crazy nights at bernabar. a few (strange) dates w/ a guy from cologne. i jumped off a bridge. we went rafting in a class 4 river. tequila, tequila, tequila. just happy times & good memories every day.
for about a week i freaked out about staying but now that i am home i am sooo happy that i did. what the hell would i have done in oak creek for six extra weeks? gotten a lame job. thats about it. i had the best summer of my life and i am so happy that i stayed. i would stay forever if i could. this past week has definitely been a huge change in what i've been experiencing for the past seven months. & im happy to be back but at the same time i'm pretty miserable. oak creek is no rome, or adelboden (even though adelboden sucks). & the US is no europe. oak creek is not where i'm meant to be...
but annnnyway, there are a lot of fun things planned for the last few weeks of summer. & i cant wait to go back to slu & to start school again. it will be a good year...
