This song describes our relationship so precisely that I would wonder if Ms. Perry were a prophet if I did not know better. Although I am not an “alien” of course, I am “extraterrestrial” or not of this earth, from “a different dimension,” with “powers” and the ability to float and glow and vibrate on a separate wavelength. And I am in fact “an angel” while Sam was once occupied by “the devil.” Also, “supernatural,” get it?

Angels do not actually have ‘halos,’ either in our natural forms or while inside vessels, but Sam explained this concept to me and I do agree with the sentiment (despite the blatantly inaccurate representation of angels throughout it). This song describes how I feel about Sam, even though he is not an angel (just of an angelic bloodline). And since I am his “angel” it fits for him as well.

Sam explained to me what a “geek” is, and I think that this term could indeed apply to the two of us. We are two “geeks in love,” and I quite enjoy the upbeat tempo of this song (although I do not understand all of the references…for instance who is “Leonard Nimoy”?). I do wish that the singers would change their name from “demon,” however.
*I have to say, I was not aware that passing through Hell, as Sam and I have done, was a regular occurrence among human lovers. I will have to ask Sam to explain this part of the song to me as well.
