Randomness of my mind...

So I looked up the mossolers (a group of dogs including the Mastiff types) to learn about the Tibetan Mastiff. I had understood Mastiffs as originating from central and eastern Europe. But apparently the earliest depictions of this type of dog is seen in Chinese art, not European. Then I got off track on a thread on the European Buffalo (did you know there were buffalo there? I didn't!) also known as the Wisnet, apparently mossoler breeds were used to hunt it at some point in history. I am still trying to get my little brain around the European Buffalo thing!

Which then got me distracted onto the Heck Cattle which are apparently an attempt to breed an animal that is more like what original wild cattle were before domestication. Which then got me onto the Heck Horse which is actually better known as the Tarpan, which I do recognize. I am not sure why people felt a need to breed what they considered a horse that was more like horses were before domestication. Przewalksis horse is in general considered very close to the non-domesticated horse ancestors.

Then I got distracted onto the Canadian Rustic Pony which I had not heard of before. Its basically a pony that is a mutt of different breeds. At the stable that Jennie works at they have several Canadian horses I am curious if they are Rustic Ponies or Canadian "horse".

So my initial looking up of a dog somehow got me back to horses.
