Gaaaghhhhhh... It's whipoorwill season.

However, on the plus side, it's also the proper time of year for my Jasmine to be blooming.
On the negative side of that plus, it makes me keep my windows open. ... which facilitates me hearing those fucking birds perfectly clearly every damn night.
Gaaagggghhhhhh.

In other news: Peppermint Sage lip balm is redone and OoooooooOOOOooooooooh yeah. It's niiiice. I also did up a batch of Honey Lavender which seems like it's going to turn out very nicely. Methinks i'll have another couple to mail out to celticelff tomorrowish. I seem to recall lavender is one of her favorites; i hope so - she's the reason i picked up that essential oil. *grin*
I also added a touch of color to both batches. Not enough to color the lips (i hope) but just to add to presentation.
cherith, i tried a new trick with sweetening today, and while both batches aren't -quite- totally cooled yet so i cannot be 100% certian, but it really seems to have done the 'trick.' I went back to regular honey, mixing it in with my base right off the bat. Then, i let the mixture cool completely, stirring it the entire time. (boooorrrrinnnnng.) After it was set, and mixed in very nicely, i might add - I stuck it back on the double boiler to re-melt so i could put them into the tubes. It worked out very nicely; the honey didn't re-seperate upon re-melt.
