Days of debauchery, my babies.

So, my apartment is a mess.  I thought it’d be a good idea to clean it up on Thursday.  But Thursday turned out to be beautiful, so I put my headphones on and walked to Kitchener.  I bought a pair of pants, shorts, and a t-shirt for myself as well as a pair of capris for Mia at Clothing by the Pound.  At Worth a Second Look, I scored a wooden salad bowl.  I paid top-dollar ($10.00) because I’d been looking for months and had even considered retail.  Less delightfully, I managed to sunburn my whole face.  I looked around for the sunscreen before I left home, but couldn’t find it.  I need the totally wimpy no-chemical sunscreen, and I know there’s some around from last year, but I had to pick some up while I was out, but not until the way back when it was too late.  I made-up my face with foundation before heading out to Ethel’s in the evening.

Yesterday was, of course, the University Women’s Association Annual Book Sale.  Hot!  We bought so many books that we had to leave them at the sale, go and get saddle bags for Ulysses’ bike, have a delightful lunch, and pick up his newly tricked-out bike before going back for the books.  Even then, we barely made it back to the apartment.  We are wusses.  The only thing I would change about that book sale (when I’m, you know, Lord Emperor of Everything) would be to ban all of the resellers until day two.  Browsing is difficult enough without having to compete with the really competitive.

Unfortunately, the amount of books we bought left us no choice but to spend hours taking down every book we owned, dusting the shelves, and shifting everything around.  It needed to be done, but god it was tedious.  Left with no food, we were forced to go to Sonny’s and buy cheeseburgers and fries to eat while watching movies.  That’s how tired we were!

Today we biked to the market and it was a fuck of a lot easier, let me tell you, now that I’m not the only one with a bike rack and bags.  One can hardly go to the market without eating Mexican food, so we didn’t.

We stopped for wine and beer on the way back and the liquor store is handing out reusable divided bags for Earth Day.  I’d forgotten about Earth Day, but I’m all for free bags to carry my empties back.

Tonight - bowling and drinks.  Tomorrow, a fund-raiser featuring Indian food.  Monday, lunch with friends.  Next weekend I’m going to the Petrolia Town-Wide garage sale.

Is there no end?

I certainly hope not.
