oh thank god!
I gave notice. My corporate life didn’t go up in a blaze of hellfire. So I’m either leaving on March 15th, or I’m leaving on the 23rd with a few last days of vacation crammed in. My boss was very nice about it and didn’t say any of the things I’d been worried about like, “we always thought you sucked anyway!” I suppose that wouldn’t have been very professional.
This was the part I was dreading, so I’m hugely relieved to have it out of the way. I dislike lying to people very much. I’ll do it when I have to, but I’d much rather be upfront.
