Math lesson #10, Nov 30, 2017

Dec 04, 2017 22:26

This time we worked on some hands-on tasks involving algorithm development, pattern coninuation and games with counting. We also did math problems on paper, and some pattern-based Christmas crafts.

First we played a robot in a maze. The "robot" obeyed the directions to go "forward", "backward", "left", and "right" to pass the maze.

Using cards with arrows, we made an algorithm to make a "robot" go through another maze.

A counting-based active game where kids were "flying" some toy birds.

Another counting game when kids need to stop touching the ground with a specific number of limbs :)

Continuing periodic designs.

Problem solving.

Periodic color sequences in Christmas decorations.
