Summary: Changmin isn't pleased of Jaejoong writing cheesy poems on the wall of their university's old building. So when he befriended the Yunho, he was certain that the new transfer student and Jaejoong will get along very well.
When Jaejoong stepped inside the classroom he was greeted by his blockmates who were waiting for the next class but suddenly felt awkward when he felt Hyunjoong's glare. He was well aware that he was the reason why the man looked upset so Jaejoong went to him.
"Hi,"
Hyunjoong sighed and faced the man in front of him, "You didn't answer my mail,"
"Sorry, I was eating with Changmin, and I did not hear the phone in my bag,"
"Everytime? Every lunch time?"
"Sorry," Jaejoong looked at his feet. It was never because he always eat with Changmin every lunch time. The reason was because Hyunjoong make him feel uncomfortable.
"You should've rejected me back then..from the very start,"
They went out during their freshmen year, but Jaejoong realized it was never progressing. Especially when Hyunjoong became the council president, their time together had gone from everyday to once a week then..to nothing.
Jaejoong ended it because he did not feel anything towards the man. Everything was platonic, and will never become intimate. But Hyunjoong would not stop. Each and everyday seemed like he was getting worse and it scared Jaejoong so he was ignoring Hyunjoong at all costs.
"Don't start with me now," Jaejoong hissed, controlling the volume of his voice so they won’t catch the attention of their blockmates. "Even if I rejected you before.. Did you even stop? No. If I ask you now to stop, will you listen to me? No. It's pretty tiring, you know?" Annoyed, Jaejoong left Hyunjoong on his seat and went to his place at the front row.
Yes, even if Jaejoong reject him countless times, he will never give up on the man. Jaejoong is beautiful, plus he have tons of suitors so if they become couple, students will envy him --the council president who catched Jaejoong's heart.
"Yo, man," His train of thoughts stopped when Yoochun sat beside him. Yoochun was one of those people who weren't blinded by Jaejoong's beauty, to him he only have Junsu in his eyes. But to most students, Jaejoong could never be compared to anyone.
"How's the orientation yesterday?"
Yoochun shifted on his seat and placed one of his legs on the other chair. "Freshmen, they thought there were no representatives lurking inside,"
"Kinda like us when we were new,"
"But these students knew how to play innocent,"
"So you fell to it?"
"No man! I got five! Junsu got two, other officers got some too, Siwon got four! Too many phones Hyunnie!"
"Fuck you Yoochun!"
Yoochun laughed. He was right. Tomorrow, Hyunjoong will be very busy signing and attending to the owners of the phones they got yesterday. It's a good thing he did not get the position or else, he will never find the time to spend with Junsu. Although both of them were council officers and they were always together on almost all of their duties, they still need their private time alone.
"It's okay man, sometimes you need to have a social life, you always go Jaejoong-Jaejoong every fucking minute...it's about time you interact with others!"
"But I do hangout with others!" Hyunjoong replied guilty from the words of Yoochun.
"But you never fail to say Jaejoong's name! C'mon, are you that obssessed with him?"
"Yes! It's so annoying!" Both was shocked when Jaejoong shouted, but relieved when they realized that it was not directed to them.
"Calm your tits Hyunnie, it's not you, but I think.." Yoochun laughed again, leaving him hanging before he could say something that Hyunjoong will never like. Last thing in his list was the council president getting mad at him.
"Whatever, still.. You have to treat me tomorrow,"
"What? What?"
"I'll finally re-establish my social life tomorrow, shall we celebrate?"
"Man, I like your randomness sometimes.. But yeah, sure!"
Sometimes, Changmin wondered if all of their professors were trained to become over obssessive-compulsive-detail-freak slave drivers. It unnerved him whenever they return his work just to say 'it's a degree off' or 'there were too many wires' or worse 'it's doesn't look like a work of an engineer'.
"What did you get this time?" Yunho asked, he instantly knew why Changmin was grumpy when they meet up at lunch.
"They should've made those professors teach Arts instead." Changmin was carrying his design plates on the cafeteria. Yunho, on the other hand was writing an essay while eating his lunch. It was an assignment in his English class.
"Let me see your binder," He scanned the folder for a while and quickly added, "Woah Min, your binder's murdered and was pooling on blood..red inks,"
"What the? Hyung you're talking flowery words now?"
"Heh, it's momentary. Anyway, fix this up, they were right about their notes here, too many connections, and this one..is good..at least in my opinion," Changmin doesn't mind Yunho giving him criticisms, he liked this hyung too much. His critics were like coated in caramels and were easy to digest. Guess he will never be a fan of harsh comments after all.
"Okay, okay, I'll ask Jaejoong-hyung do it," He said, while digging on his lunch which Jaejoong prepared this morning. "He have no class tomorrow, anyway.."
Yunho on the other hand, had started to wonder who this Jaejoong Changmin was talking about. There was no point in asking because he had just transferred so he let the younger one talk to himself.
"...and then I'll just buy him his favorite pencils, what the hell was that called again? Fiber.. Faber Cast--whatever..."
"Faber Castell, Min?"
"Ow yeah, that's it... Woah! You know that?" He was surprised that Yunho knew about that difficult material. And then he wondered, was he the only one who doesn't know what it was called?
Yunho chuckled while drinking his pearl milk tea. "Oh yeah, pretty familiar with that.. Like the trees towards the autumn wind,"
The younger one's eyes widened upon hearing Yunho's 'flowery words'. "God, why am I always stuck with these people,"
"Huh?"
"A while ago I was ranting about professors who were like art teachers...and then your flowery words came.."
"Did it make you uncomfortable?"
"What, no! Just.. I just can't believe it.. Yunho-hyung, you know, my roommate is also a poetry freak and he does more painting than reading his books... And he sometimes talk to me in flowery words..even in his dreams,"
"Sounds interesting,"
Changmin nodded in defeat. Like what he said, it doesn't matter if his friends were like that, just not the professors. He will definitely slam his face on his desk and flip all the tables. But at least there were similarities to this new student and his Jaejoong-hyung. He should really arrange a formal meet-up with these two.
He felt lightheaded and he liked it. It was like flying up the sky sandwiched between clouds. And instead of feeling the reality that it was very very rough (he felt it while on the plane!), there's fluffiness.. Only fluffiness.
And then something hard landed on his back. But he ignored it thinking that it was a flaw to his dream. Not long after, Changmin's demanding voice had started to reverberate. But he ignored it again because Changmin appearing in his dream was uncool. So he just focused on the soft clouds which had suddenly started to attack him. It was starting to get painful that he closed his eyes and swore that if Changmin appeared, he'll definitely hit him hard.
"Hyung!" His eyes flew open when he heard Changmin's voice near his ears.
"What..." Jaejoong said blinking away the remnants of his sleep.
"What? Are you taking drugs while I was in school? The hell with those flowery words while you're sleeping!?"
"Uh.. I,"
"Well yeah, dinner time hyung I ordered take-out," Changmin said and added in a low voice, "And I'm not uncool,"
"Okay," Jaejoong muttered while rubbing his eyes. He looked at the clock on the study table and realized that it had not been 20 minutes since he fell asleep. And what was with the weird dream?
"So you decided to extend your obsession for patterns on your face, I see hyung...very creative.." Jaejoong sat on the chair across Changmin. It's a good thing the younger one decided to treat him to takeouts once in a while. Sometimes, it was very tiring to cook especially when you have whole day classes.
"Uggh bedmarks, and well yeah thanks Min, appreciate that, wait.. Did I?"
Changmin knew for an instant wwhat Jaejoong was trying to ask. "Yeah hyung, you're like...awake when you're asleep.."
"Ahhh!" Jaejoong covered his eyes out of embarrassment, he did it again -- talking in his sleep. But thankful that Changmin was the only one who knew about his sleeping disorder. Maybe he was the uncool one after all.
"I'll invite Yunho-hyung on weekends,"
"Yunho?"
"Aish, the one I'm talking about yesterday~"
"Ohh that new student? Your new friend?" Jaejoong answered, not totally caring at anything but his food. Not interested, he said to himself.
"Are you jealous? I'm sure you'll like him!"
"Yeah, and he'll eventually like me and then he'll ask me out and the cycle begins then--"
"Whoa whoa whoa, why so bitter hyung?"
"I'm not. Just aish, you know.. Ever since that college night last year, people started confessing to me.. Everywhere --girls and guys. Saying I'm pretty and all. It's starting to make me uncomfortable, the reason why I always stay on the old building Min.. And then you want me to meet that new student?" Jaejoong said, food forgotten. He may sound like he was about to strangle Changmin but he wasn't, he just needed to say that loud.
"I didn’t know what happened last year, I just came this year remember?" Changmin replied, ignoring Jaejoong's outburst. He could never get angry at his hyung right now, two angry people arguing will result to nothing. He just wanted to introduce his new friend but Jaejoong said a lot.
Jaejoong went to his room to get something and when he came back he was carrying an old picture. He gave it to Changmin.
"Whoa, you look so.." Changmin searched for words but never came up with any. It was a picture of Jaejoong wearing wig and girl's clothes. He was so pretty but Changmin would not want to say it out loud.
"Pretty, beautiful?" Jaejoong supplied. Changmin glared.
"You look so gay,"
"Bastard, I can't help it okay? Freshmen and sophomores should attend that's why I was forced into that hell of a costume."
"At least I have a different reaction. Whatever hyung, I don’t care about your inner turmoil but you're going to meet him and we'll hang out together, okay?"
Jaejoong didn't answer. At least Yunho was not there last year, and Changmin was convincing himself that he was already qualified to be his hyung's matchmaker.
